Mary Ashun’s Tuesday’s Child is a lively and lyrical memoir, a beautifully wrought story of a young woman’s coming of age in Ghana, and of her experiences confronting stereotypes while living as a black child in a very white community in England during the nineteen seventies. A refreshing alternative to the dominant discourses that circulate in the Global North of austere African childhoods, Mary’s narrative is full of love, abundance, the rich potential of cross-cultural friendships, and a fascinating family not soon forgotten.

Master of the Game by Sydney Sheldon is my all-time favourite. It’s a story based in South Africa. It’s a novel which tells the story of five generations of the McGregor family. It talks about a man who started from a very small beginning and later built up a large company. It’s a thriller and I love it.
One thing I gained from this novel was that you can succeed. It will be difficult but by whatever appropriate means possible, however long it would take, if you are determined you can make it.  The main character of the book didn’t have anything but he was hard working and he persevered.
Master of the Game was recommended to me by a friend.
It took me about a month to finish reading because of the ups and downs at work but it  was easy to finish because it was interesting.
I recommend this book to any novel lover or Sydney Sheldon freak. Read it!

I recently completed a very informative book: Hug Your Customer by Jack Mitchell. It’s a must-read for everyone who works with clients.
It’s basically about how individuals should deal with clients or customers and most importantly, how to keep clients closer and how to maintain a healthy relationship with a client or a customer.  The only way to stay in business is to have customers; the only way to increase your profit is to attract more customer visits by providing exceptional customer service.
In addition, it gives various points as to how you can make your customer your friend rather than just an ordinary customer on a normal working day.
I picked something very interesting from this book. It’s that, I can trust my customer because they trust me.
I recommend Hug Your Customer to every marketer, every client service person, especially those in the corporate industry because it’s a good book and it talks about every day things we do with our customers. It’s packed.  It’s a must-have.
