If there was anything lower than 1 star that is what I would give this facility. My aunt was here and her care was so mismanaged I actually believe it attributed to the stroke she had in their "care" and ultimately led to her death. The staff is apathetic with no real compassion for those in their care. My aunt as well as many others on her floor (and I'm sure others) were NOT taken care of in a healthy manner. Employees spent a good deal of time on their personal phones or on personal business or just goofing off while many a room had alarms going off as well as nurse call buttons that went unanswered. Patients were forced to lay in unsanitary conditions because nurse calls went unanswered for hours even after family members sought out someone at the nurses station to help. This facility also gave out our personal information to another facility who began calling to solicit her care after she was discharged from Kindred. We came to find out that one of the doctors at Kindred had a vested interest as part owner in the 3rd party facility that was soliciting our business.

We have been eating here for over 5 years and have ALWAYS had great service and superb food. Love their stuffed fish, ajun fried chicken... and the green beans are yummy!

We had wanted to stay here for many years - it was always a dream. The dream became a nightmare though. While dinner at the Shoals restaurant was excellent the hotel itself should be torn down by the health department. The room was filthy (sheets and spread severely stained and towels were threadbare and the carpet stained and cigarette burns everywhere), the electrical sketchy at best (half the light bulbs were burnt out and the bed side lights flicker if you move the cord), no fans and no window screen so you can open the window for ventilation... The whole room sloped toward the ocean, the baseboards were falling off, the plumbing varied from ice cold to scalding hot with no notice... Unfortunately I could go on and on, but the short is that this Inn is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!
