Love:Complexity of Relationships
By dappledog89 on Dec 24, 2011

I've often thought about love. I wonder what it is that attracts someone to someone else. Is it because that person can provide for you the things you can’t do for yourself? Everyone wants to be cared for.
Do they make up the part of you that doesn’t exist, or needs help existing? Is attraction strictly looks? Or personality? Anyone can be a couple, but what about them makes you stay and build the relationship?

I don’t think love is completely about how you feel about the other person. I think what you love is how you are when you’re with them. You love how they make you feel. You love who you are with them. You love them because, as one person, you exist perfectly. Saying “I Love You” expresses immense gratefulness. It should make the other person feel needed, cared for and… loved! And because you know your partner is grateful, it’s easy to want to make them happy. You’d put their happiness and well being before your own simply because you genuinely want to please them.

I believe being a couple is about giving and taking, sharing and learning. But what is it that makes couples stay together for this? Love!

I read that love can actually change a person’s desires, and the traits of your partner are now what make him/her amazing in your eyes. Isn’t that crazy?

Love is an amazing thing!

De-Weaving On The Move

Phone Transcript:

I’m Driving down VA Beach Blvd the other day and a Pepsi Blue infinity with weave… women’s hair weave flying out of the window and I’m wondering why this ** is in the front row taking out her weave and throwing it out the window onto the ground… What is the world coming to. I mean it just bothered me so i figured I’d call in. I don’t know maybe you can start something up. But what drives a person to throw their weave out the window like it’s a piece of gum or a cigarette or something?

Hold On!!!!

Arriving in the awakening of the year 2005

The existence of a star burns its’ reflection in the sky

And everyone who sees it, takes a chance or just believes it

They’re amazed at the blaze,

And exhausted by her features

The angels up in heaven love the fire,

And they feed it

Praying that one day their expectations are exceeded!!!!

But every now and then

the rising star begins to weaken

But she’s so close to heaven,

Sometimes she could hear God Speakin’

One Day She overheard him

sayin somethin about glory

Couldn’t catch it all

but heard she didn’t have to worry

And ever since that day

it’s like the moon been gettin smaller

Like somebody sparked a wire,

now the world’s a little brighter

Yo, this is my story

and I feel I gotta tell it

Im a tell it cause it’s real,

I’m a tell it cause I live it

Everyday I’m in a battle with myself,

I’m outta patience

In time I’ll get mine,

But for now i’m tired of waitin’

Still I hold on……………..

……………………………….

Now here we are 2010

That story about glory

replaying itself again

The patience thought to be lost

revived by a second wind

The vision of the Saviour in heaven

set to begin

Here I am the chosen one

Why me?

No need to ask.

I Heard the voice, answered the call.

He knew I’d follow the path

So he prepared the world for change

Unknowing of what’s to come

Inspiration from above

delivered by me, the one

Who knows, I could be crazy

My journey has just begun

I Asked, and I’ve received

Nothing left

Thy will be done

Still I Hold On…..

Facebook Follies

So I’m sitting at my desk when I hear the manager come over and pull a coworker off of the floor. Of course it did not look like it was a standard meeting. Curious, I started to ask around to see what was going on. No one knew but everyone could tell something was up. A few minutes later my coworker comes out with a sad look on her face and starts to clean out her things from her desk. I asked her what was going on and she said she was let go (fired). “Why”, I asked. “Un-excused absences”, she replied. Now I’m thinking. “There wasn’t a warning or anything?” She said, “No.” So at this point I am not getting enough information and because I am that dude, I went to go see what the manager was doing. She was talking at her desk on the phone and motioned to me to hold on while she finished her conversation. However, while I was standing there I saw the answer to my questions and later I found out the remainder to the story. On the managers desk were two pictures of my co-worker. One of her taking a picture of her self in front of Bush Gardens and another of herself kissing some dude at the beach.

Games and music go hand in hand. Video game designers found this out early. That’s why everyone on the planet can hum the Mario Theme Song. Before the days when you could upload your own sound track to your favorite game the music choices were crucial decisions for designers. Then Activision decided to give us a play list to skateto with Tony Hawk skate boarding. You could kick flip and grind to Nas, Megadeth, KRS One, or the Red Hot Chili Peppers . A year later when the sequel to Tony Hawk came to stores you could unlock hidden tracks. Music became a tangible part of a video game for the first time.

What music do you listen to while you game?

Fast forward to today. You can frag your enemies in Halo while you bump your favorite play list. Mp3s that are small enough to fit in helmets are used by NFL players to get and keep the adrenaline rush. And every UFC fighter has their own entrance music while they walk to the ring. Studies have shown that when we listen to music our brain is super active. Music also unlocks areas of the brain we do not often use, like the Deep Limbic System. This part of the brain controls our emotions and is why music can make us cry, angry, or confident etc. Everyone plays better when they are in a good mood. There for good music equals better performance. So if your having trouble saving the Princess, or getting to Level 80 in W.O.W a musical revamp might be all you need.

I listen to different music at different times. When I want to be creative or when I write I listen to a lot of instrumental hip-hop like MF DOOM, RJD2, and house music. When I play poker I have to listen to the WuTang Clan. I think its the creative dialogue and aggressive lyrics that put me in the zone. When Call Of Duty is the game at hand then it’s West Coast time, All Eyes On Me or The Chronic while I gat some fool with my sniper rifle.

What games do you guys play? What are you listening to when your playing? Do you think it gives you an edge on the game? Respond to this post or send me a message on SelectiveSounds.

Peace
