Fedora has 2000+ contributors. Only 1/3 of the most active ones are redhatters.

I think the characterization as "not working" is a little extreme, but, yes, you're absolutely right that this doesn't and can't scale. It's exactly the reason behind the Fedora.next efforts, and I'm excited about a lot of ideas for attacking the problems from a different direction in the coming year.

My article on email clients for Fedora Magazine.

Emails, emails, emails; how do you send your emails? Here is an overview of most popular email clients in Fedora.
Fedora features a variety of applications for using email outside a web browser or offline. Read this article to discover some of your choices.

the article contains a factual error "At the end of 2014, Mozilla announced they would decouple development of Thunderbird from Firefox to focus more on browser development." it should be "end of 2015" instead.
also, the next sentence, about it not being abandoned is a bit hazarded, is too early to tell.

If the Pope can ditch ‪#‎Whatsapp‬ and use ‪#‎Telegram‬, you can, too ;-)
In his first message, Pope Francis recommended doing good deeds—albeit privately, without caring for other people's approval.

+Antoni Segura Puimedon Signal's also very good. But I prefer Telegram because it has synchronization between devices for standard chats (yeah, it requires the data to be stored on servers, but for any sensitive stuff I use secret chats) and it's supported in many clients on all platforms due to open protocol (web, Pidgin, telegram-cli, Cutegram,...) while Signal only supports Android and iOS and newly web. And it also has far more users than Signal, so there is at least some chance to compete with giants like Whatsapp or Messenger. IM has a strong network effect, the service can be great, but if no one of your friends is using it, it's useless.

So #DevConfCZ had 1600 attendees this year. From more than 100 companies and organizations. It's amazing how the conference has grown in just a couple of years. When I became the main organizer in 2012, it had 300 attendees, 60 sessions (now 203).

An interesting blogpost to read if you wanna have an idea about security of Linux distributions. It's about WebKitGTK, but some of the distribution policies are general.
Linux distributions have a problem with WebKit security. Major desktop browsers push automatic security updates directly to users on a regular basis, so most users don't have to worry about security updates. But Linux users are dependent on their distributions to release updates.

The future is now.

With a huge amount of support from +Alexander Larsson installing applications using xdg-app in GNOME Software is working. There are still a few rough edges, but it's getting there quickly now.

Nic moc pivo, nic moc jidlo.

The hostel is not the cleanest one in the Baltic countries as they claim on their website, quite the opposite. There were piles of cigarette ash which no one bothered to clean. You could hardly see through windows and the table in the room was pretty sticky. On the other hand, it's very cheap. The shared room was for 6 lats. However I don't recommend you the shared room unless you like sharing a room with strange Russian speaking individuals. Private rooms are probably OK. It's in a safe area, right next to a police station.
