Whether your aim is to gear up for your first 5k, a long-distance bike ride, or play in a championship game, weekends are the best time to take on a physical challenge, enjoy the outdoors and spend time with friends and family. Dr. Marco Coppola, Chief Medical Officer of Family ER + Urgent Care in Frisco and Irving, reminds you to play it safe when participating in sports and physical activities – whether casually or for the big win. “Sports injuries are quite common,” says Coppola. “It’s important to know your limitations and to use caution, including knowing what to do when injuries occur.”

The Kid's Race starts at 8am and the 5K begins at 8:30am.  There will be tons of post-race activities including a live band, food, refreshments, cool products and services, and a bouncy house and face painting for the kids.
