The LSU HPC Philip cluster has been returned to service after the 
scheduled downtime to relocate Philip in preparation for the new 
SuperMIC cluster. The Philip cluster now uses a different storage 
system. All of the data from Philip was copied over successfully so you 
shouldn't notice the change.

Tezpur, our 15TFlops cluster installed in 2007 will be decommissioned on January 2, 2014 to make room for the SuperMIC cluster. The current users of Tezpur need to move to other clusters such as SuperMike-II to run jobs.
Philip cluster which shares storage will have extended downtime beginning Jan 2.

+Louisiana State University held its Second Annual High Performance Computing Week on June 10-15, 2013. Organized in collaboration between the LSU Information Technology Services (ITS), LSU Center for Computation & Technology (CCT), Louisiana Optical Network Initiative (LONI) and the Louisiana Alliance for Simulation-Guided Materials Applications (LA-SiGMA), the HPC Week fostered interaction and knowledge exchange among researchers from various institutions across Louisiana.
