The star rating is deceiving, but only because of one disappointing factor. Terrell is a gifted tech. He responded to my morning weekend call and promptly arrived to inspect our ac condensor compressor which had quit working on a forecasted 100+ degree day. He was able to determine the problem, cool the compressor with a water hose and install two parts to get the compressor working again. He was finished in less than an hour (including driving time). I will not dispute he was well worth the $135/hr rate. Heck he was so d*mn good I was thinking of giving him a $20 tip. But here's the disappointing news. Upon some quick research, the parts he installed could have been purchased online for less than $20 each. I was charged a 300% markup for parts. I was hammered. I mean, I understand there is some profit margin needed on parts. I would have been happy paying a 100% markup, but 300% percent? C'mon Terrell, give a guy a break!

food was good and serving size impressively larger than i expected. our waitress was polite and attentive. she forgot to bring extra napkins when we dropped ours on the floor but no big deal. after order the meal came out fairly quickly with no lengthy wait to mention. and yeah the food was probably better than good, so i'll give it 4 stars, five being perfect. nice quaint neighborhood location in the north side. hipster scene for sure, i'm sure i was labeled one as well when i entered the establishment. i like the skinny jean look.

nice sunny day. mainly we were interested in the boat ride and a short stay on the beach. the waves were rough that day as the wind was blowing hard parallel to the shore. but i was impressed that 3 lifeguards stood on the beach. still didn't have a secure feeling in the water as rip current warnings were swirling in my head. i didn't think the beach was that 'secluded'. there were quite a few people there on that day. if you are interested in a more secluded island beach setting, then i would suggest back bay national wildlife refuge / false cape state part in virginia, south of virginia beach and sandbridge. or if you are in panama city fl, head off to shell island.

totally eerie...at times. we were the only people on the beach as far to the north and to the south as you could see. saw some dolphins, and maybe only one personal boat in the far distance. the 3/4 mile walk is crazy as you have to fight off the swarming atttacking, apparently starving mosquitos. but it was worth the trip. want to go back, but bring more people.

this place was amazing, once you found a place to park. the service was outstanding. the food came very quickly and tasted better than average. reasonably priced as well. the view was nice, but not a priority for my experience. we had a thunderstorm roll through while we there and there was enough room for shelter at the bar for the customers who were seated outside on the deck. hope next time is just as good or better.

I like the call ahead and place your name on a waiting list feature. that really cut the wait time on an EXTREMELY busy night. but let's get straight to the point. the beef tips were AWFUL !. chewy to the point of unworthy to spit out for your dog. what a complete and utter disappointment! i've heard so much about how great this place was. our server even said "we haven't had to take any back all day" when i specifically asked how were the beef tips. boy, if i weren't so shy, i definitely would have been the first that day. anyway, even though this was my first dinner experience, i had an office luncheon a few months before and had some wonderful fish and chips. absolutely delicious. so next, if there is, which i doubt, i'll stick with the fish. just for comparison. i had the fish and chips recently at o'charely's and they were horrible. why are restaurants so inconsistent? peace.

Beware of the swarming gnats! ...but hey, it's summer in July in Virginia. Real quick, the best part about the camp is the hiking. And i mean going up trails that you can climb in your tennis shoes. Also on the camp property there is a secret spring where you can dip your bottle in and have a cool refreshing drink of natural spring water. It doesn't get any better than this. Christ centered teaching is a must and they have it. Great food, and the family camp cabin was rustic and dusty, but roomy and relatively cool during the evening slumber. It even has a bathroom and electricity. The new bath house is wonderful. The staff is kind and courteous. I'm wanting to go back and take other families with us. See you there!
