Google has just announced the launch of a new Google Music store in the Android Marketplace. Among the new store's exclusive new offerings is the first in a series of previously unreleased live recordings by the Rolling Stones. First up is the long-bootlegged October 1973 show in Brussels, officially released at last in a new mix overseen by the band.

You can download the whole thing now from the Android Marketplace, or get a free sample in the form of a rare performance of the song "Dancing With Mr. D". Five more shows will be released over the next year, so stay tuned for more announcements.

Last October, Keith sat for a lengthy and free-wheeling conversation with journalist Anthony DeCurtis, part of the New York Public Library's NYPL Live series. That talk has now been turned into the latest installment of artist Flash Rosenberg's Conversation Portraits, a series of animated videos illustrating the NYPL Live chats.

Last night in New York City, Keith was honoured with the 2011 Norman Mailer Prize for Distinguished Biography, awarded to him for his best-selling autobiography, Life. Keith was on hand to accept the award, presented to him by President Bill Clinton.

It has just been announced that Keith will be sitting on the panel of this year's Independent Music Awards. Along with a diverse group of industry legends, such as Ozzy Osbourne and Tom Waits, Keith will be helping to determine the winners of the IMA's 11th annual program in the World Beat & Blues categories.

The Independent Music Awards is a unique international program that connects self-released and independent label talent to new audiences and marketing opportunities. Nominees will be announced in December and the 11th IMA Winners will be announced in February, 2012.
