NEW BLOG POST: Until recently I have never been to Essen although it is located only 100 kilometres from Cologne where I live. So I was very happy when I was invited to a travel blogger meeting in Essen where I had the opportunity to see a lot of the city. But the capital of Uzbekistan is also worth a visit. I absolutely love the Great Wall of China. For me it is one of the most fascinating, if not even the most fascinating monument on Earth. After wandering on the fully restored Mutianyu Great Wall in twice in 2013 I was happy when I got the chance to hike the isolated and unrestored wild Gubeikou Great Wall a while ago.
