And you adopt it immediately, if he does.

With the intent of being helpful... try "meditating" (or simply counting your breathes).

1) do a search on "simple meditation techniques"
2) try it for 20 minutes.
3) see how your inner world "feels", see how your inner world "thinks" afterwards

A double facepalm is also an acceptable INTJ reaction. (I assume any of the "T" MBTI types would also have similar reactions.)

The first part is needlessly nitpicky.

Why I Don't People

Socializing isn't exactly the hardest thing for me, I've been in crowds and the center of attention. Been on stage and television. In small stretches I can be sociable and charming.

But that's just the +INTJ aspect. There comes a time when inevitably people start acting incredibly stupid and I've pretty much had my fill of it. Now, we're not talking run of the mill stupidity, that's everywhere. I'm talking life altering stupid where you, as the INTJ point it out politely and watch them do the exact opposite even after they agree with you.

Woman moves in upstairs with her boyfriend. They seem like a nice couple. Couple of days later they're fighting horribly and she kicks him out. Conversation ensues over the next week about she doesn't want to date for awhile, and I agree that being in the rebound and dating is a recipe for disaster.

She goes on saying she doesn't even want to have sex at this point because of it all and just needs to mellow out and take time for herself. All of this I can totally agree on because it makes sense. It's what a friend would tell her for her own good, ya know?

Two days later she's picking out condoms at the store "for later" and two more days later she's going on about how she has a date on Thursday back out where she just moved from, a place where she just got done dealing with not one but three ex boyfriends causing her shit.

And i just sit here thinking: You're a special kind of stupid, aren't you?

The kicker? One of her exes who came up, "as a friend" left abruptly but not before telling me to take good care of her because we're a good couple. I spent like the entire night telling him I don't know what he's on about because she's not my type and I'm not interested in her like that.

My type happens to be: not full of drama and self fulfilling stupidity.

I'm sitting here scratching my head... just at how stupid people can be. And that's why I don't people well. Because they're a glutton for punishment and too stupid to comprehend they're bringing it on themselves.

I'll still be a friend, but damn... I'm just keeping my distance from the stupid, lest my own IQ tries to strangle itself with my spinal cord as a defense mechanism.

Sounds like most women I know... No offense intended, to the reasonable, logical females that may read this.

I find I behave helpless at times just to gauge the competence of superiors. It's all a big game to me. human interactions is the best game since tiddlywinks.

Um no, I would have to disagree. I endeavor to drown out my thoughts with music cuz I hate being alone with my thoughts and yet I tend to love it at the same time.
We have a love hate relationship.

+Anonymous Writer I can handle surface conversations, but most of the time I cannot stand them.

Introduction
INTJ is one of 16 different personality types measured by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment.

The letters stand for Introversion, iNtuition, Thinking and Judgment.  INTJs are also known as Masterminds and are one of the rarest of the 16 types.

This page is dedicated to exploring all of our unique characteristics and quirks.  Even though the intended audience is INTJs, all MBTI types are welcome.

If you don't know what your type is, I encourage you to take the test by clicking one of the links here.  You may discover you are one of us--the few, the proud, the megalomaniacal.
