Our final day celebrating our 11th anniversary in Nashville and my husband and I decided to visit Arnolds for lunch. Parked right away, got right in line, the staff was friendly and working hard to serve us with a smile. Price was reasonable, portions were filling and we sat right down. By far, some of the best soul/southern food ever! Fried chicken, Roast beef, mashed potatoes, greens, cornbread, sweet tea, lemonade, and fried apples get an A+! But the star of the show on my plate was the sweet potato pie with homemade whip was DIVINE! Thank you Arnolds for sending us off on such a delicious high!

Cheap home cooking at it's best. The portions were generous and the roast beef with collard greens were out of this world. You feel very cozy like you've grown up eating here. The owner and staff are wonderful and adds to the atmostsphere. Do get here early, we got in right at 10:30, by 11 it was out the door! Must stop if you are in Nashville.

Had Arnold's for the first time today, I was impressed! Got the chicken and dumplings and they were great. Don't skip out on the sweet potato pie...

Stay in the line; it moves quickly and your tummy will thank you! Generious is an understatement for portions and it's seasoned perfectly!

Good home style cooking, nothing fancy. Roast beef is super good, as was the Chicken and dumplings. Mac and cheese was a little on the spicy side, I was not a fan. Luckily we got there right as they opened so the line wasn't too bad.

Great food. I enjoyed my visit quite a bit. I had eggs Benedict and the strawberry orange juice. Perfection!

What the what!! Where did this jewel come from? As seen on TV's Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives this is a must do for lunch in Nashville. All walks of life at Arnold's, from the business professional to the traveling family this spot it quick, cheap, and delectable! Down home and truly southern cuisine served cafeteria style and at a rapid pace. If your looking to impress a client with exceptional surroundings, this isn't the place for you. But, if you want to blow their mind with southern flair and a unique spot, this is it. The joint is only open during lunch and the food shows why. Deep spicy flavors throughout, rich meats smoked slowly and carved fresh to order, with delectable desserts. Don't forget your cornbread muffin to cap off the meal. Come early and expect a little wait, but this spot is well worth it. This is a 5 of 5 for me ☆☆☆☆☆. Oh yeah...bring cash for quick service. About $10 per person.

Maybe I need to give it another shot, because I don't exactly see why this place is so beloved. Not bad for a meat + 3, just not stellar. If the food wasn't too salty, it was too sweet.
