Retro railcar environs & seasonal New American eats draw cool sorts to this funky spin on the diner.- Google
"Great spot for a hangover brunch but a little out of the way for most friends."

This was a very cool place to just sit, chill, and enjoy a Coke and burger. Atmosphere was very retro. The entire diner car experience was pretty fun and genuine. I had the cheeseburger, which was very tasty! Just the right amount of old-school char, and the cheese was outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place for a fun lunch.

Did not have a chance to dine in but I ordered their cheeseburger to go and it was absolutely amazing. I would have said perfect had I actually sat down and enjoyed the atmosphere a bit and not let my fries get a bit soggy but the next time I'm in town I will try another dish. If whatever I choose next is anything like the burger I just devoured I will surely not be disappointed. Burgers are what I primarily order just as a quick simple bite that's difficult to mess up but I've had $25 dollar Kobe beef burgers that weren't as good. Nuff said!

A fun little hipster brunch place. I have had a couple excellent meals. The food is neo-americana with kale salads and boiled peaches. The decor is that of an abandoned 1950s diner. Service was good and fast (I think they try to turn tables over quickly). It can get crowded, so show up early or expect a small wait. If you are in the neighborhood - it is worth a stop.

I was told that Diner was the perfect bring your parents to restaurant and its fair to say they were right in some respects. My parents enjoyed it a lot especially the writing of the menu on the table. But I like Diner too! Food is good and I love the old time-y-ness of the spot.

Best diner we've found in our Brooklyn excursions. Menu written on butcher paper at table side. Get the Bloody Mary.

Great food. Great experience. All of the items available that night are written out on the table in front of you as the server explains each dish in detail. The menu seem to change regularly. I chose the duck as a main dish and Diner's twist on consomme as my starter. Both were great. The ambiance was cozy and the wait staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about food and wine. Overall, highly recommended.

We went on a whim to Diner during the recent heatwave. What a great find! It's lovely that the menu changes daily and while the waitress jots some notes on the paper tablecloth to remind you of the items, it's hard to remember the details of all ~12 items, we had to ask her back to the table twice. In the end, it probably doesn't matter what you order, everything was delectable. Won't go into the details of the food items, since they change, but will call out the bruschetta-inspired appetizer: This was hands down one of the best either Jessica or I have eaten. Perfectly created slice of bread with beautiful herbal dressing, egg, and tender beef tongue. We got there fairly early and notices several families dining, so cool that it's family friendly. As long as your kid is not picky (ours is not). There is always a burger on the menu. Two negative dings as to why I can't give five stars. First, the rabbit was over-cooked and chewy. And second, if you walked in you would see a perfect, hipster Diner decor, the name is Diner, the food is far from Diner fare, closer to New American Bistro. For that the decor is definitely sub-par. Also the service started out strong, but as the evening went on and more tables filled, the servers seemed to struggle to keep up. All in all, the food was really good, and prices very reasonable.
