David Slone is the General Sales Manager and Used Car Manager for Weld County Garage. David Slone has more than 20 years of experience leading companies through start-up, survival, and growth modes.
Prior to joining Weld County Garage, David Slone served as Vice President and President of Macrosystem US, a multinational manufacturer and marketer of video editing devices. Brand names include Casablanca Avio and Casablanca Kron. David Slone began his career at Macrosystem US as a National Sales Manager where he worked with over 200 dealers and three regional managers. Rising to the position of President at Macrosystem US, David Slone created an outstanding management team and achieved high profits over a three-year period. David Slone helped Macrosystem become one of the fastest growing companies in Colorado.
David Slone also served as President of Making a Difference, a ministry in Brazil that provided financial support to poor local families and their children. David Slone and Stacey Slone established and led the ministry for several years. The ministry is now overseen by a board of directors.
David Slone got his first taste of business and management, when together with his wife Stacey he started a video production company called Amber’s Video Production, out of their spare bedroom. David Slone soon became one of the top wedding and special events video producers in the state. After achieving growth for over five years, David Slone sold the company to pursue other opportunities.
At present, David Slone is focused on helping Weld County Garage become the number one Buick and GMC dealer in the western region, as well as a top ten used car dealer in Colorado. David Slone describes the company as “one of the most amazing dealerships in the country.” His extensive industry experience, drive, and leadership have made it possible for David Slone to build an outstanding leadership team. David Slone thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand a company’s potential. His goal is to help companies become leaders in their specific field. David Slone is also interested in working with companies to create management teams, or to offer management training to small and medium sized companies.
David Slone and his wife Stacey have been married 25 years and have two children. Their son, Josh is a college student and their daughter, Amber works as an event coordinator and customer service representative at Weld County Garage. When not at work, David Slone and his wife enjoy photography and driving on Colorado’s jeep trails. As an avid photographer, David Slone also recently started a small photography company, Like Father like Daughter, together with his daughter Amber. The father-daughter team is in the process of creating a website with a goal to offer photography to the world to enjoy in many different forms.
