Wrote about Microsoft Connect today, and how it actually worked for me!

http://thomaslarock.com/2012/02/the-shocking-truth-abut-microsoft-connect/

So, the quick question for y'all is this: How many of you are using PBM in your environments these days?

Moving from this G+ account (using gmail.com email) to my G+ account using the thomaslarock.com google domain email.

I need to merge my streams, as I am finding that sometimes when i +1 something it goes to either of the G+ pages, depending on how the Goog sees me as signed in at that moment. It is very, very, very frustrating that the Goog won't allow for me to easily clean up everything.

Wow, four lashes for boys and girls playing together? Was that a reward, or a punishment?

I am currently a Senior Database Administrator for Confio Software.

I have been in the IT industry for over ten years and a database professional since 2002. I’ve worked with several database platforms (Informix, Oracle, Sybase, Microsoft) as well as several development platforms (C++, PowerBuilder, Microsoft .NET). My current role is focused on providing a quality performance monitoring tool for multiple platforms (MSSQL, Sybase, Oracle, and DB2).

I am a SQL Server MVP, having first received the honor back in 2009 and again in 2010. I participated in the 2010 MVP Summit, providing valuable feedback on SQL Server to Microsoft.

I am the author of DBA Survivor: Become a Rock Star DBA. The book is designed to give a junior to mid-level DBA a better understanding of what skills are needed in order to survive (and thrive) in their career.

I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Professional Association for SQL Server, an independent, not-for-profit association, dedicated to supporting, educating, and promoting the Microsoft SQL Server community member.
