Came across this gem by +Bill Slawski outlining the patent that may be behind the People Also Ask snippets. What I thought was outstanding in the post was he outlined from the patent how these are chosen and more importantly when there are multiple questions what action takes place ie: which gets the nod for inclusion!

BTW Bill is joining the Search Geeks Speak Technical SEO Hangout on Wednesday. He'll be joined by +Kevin Doory +Doc Sheldon +David Harry and +Terry Van Horne. You can ask questions on the Event page here:

I wrote a post for Telsec Business Centres on how to easily expand an ecommerce retailer's market... setup a Canadian Entity... is not costly and is a more familiar market and audience then Asian or Mideastern...

This looks really cool...but how long will it last before they shut it down?
Add Actions to your pages, for when people talk to their Google Assistant; because this is how the Web will work in a time of seach speakers, and Chrome on Cars and Fridges and ovens.

This is the first post I've written on SEO in quite some time. I was a little surprised that there has been very little written about Google identifying "ambiguous queries" and how SERPs with several entities are improved with better recognition of user intent. Given that these types of queries have always been regarded as the hardest for Google to ascertain user's intent this is right up there with parallel indexing in terms of advancement in modern search. Any comments by others who are competing in ambiguous query spaces would be much appreciated.

I posted this today on the Telsec Blog. I was doing some keyword research and was amazed that this term has gone from being a longtail keyword when I started at Telsec to now being one of the top phrases. It is mainly because of the trends in what people expect from their workspace and job.
