Brilliant, motivational talk by Benjamin Zander to an audience of teachers. "He (director of an orchestra) depends for his power on his ability to make other people powerful... I realized my job was to awaken possibility in other people...You know how you find out? You look at their eyes. If their eyes are shining, you know you're doing it."

An interesting episode of "Redes" on how to diffuse social and emotional learning in all aspects of society, how learning emotional management strategies should start as early as possible and finally how to apply this concept at home and in education.

It's such an inspiration to hear Tony Wagner's thoughts on educational reform. "What's the problem that needs solving?" This is what educators should define first before jumping into proposing solutions. He suggests a new system where students can progressively acquire 1) Content Knowledge 2) the 7 skills or competencies (http://www.tonywagner.com/7-survival-skills) and 3) will and motivation. Definitely recommend his book: The Global Achievement Gap.
