Love the crispy wood fired crust at Delfina - but I don't know if it's worth it given the tremendous wait every night. I had been waiting to eat at Pizzeria Delfina for months and when I finally resolved to go, I feel like my expectations might have been a little too high. The Pac Heights location lost our place in line so we had to wait extra long. That being said, you can't go wrong with pizza and beer, right? Well...the pizza lacked the flavor I expected and had scarce toppings. I had to take this pizza joint, but overall the experience was fine and I think I might give it another shot!

I love trying new places to eat in the city, and this place was recommended to me by a friend, and I must say, it did not disappoint! While it isn't the best pizza and italian food in the city, it definitely ranks near the top. We ordered their special pizza of the day: a chile, guanciale, with pecorino as well as their meatball appetizer. The pizza was delicious and a good size to share between two hungry people. Their meatballs weren't as good as Tony's in North Beach, but pairing them with the huge crispy bruschetta they come with, makes the appetizer worth ordering again. Moreover, I have to give extra points for having a few really good beers available including "Death in Taxes" on tap. That beer is so awesome, and when I saw it, I immediately had to order it with my meal. And I almost always order wine with Italian food, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity. Overall, the staff is extremely welcoming and courteous, the wait wasn't very long, and the vibe is very laid-back. If I really like a restaurant, it's because it made a strong-enough impression that I will want to return to eat there, and this place has done just that. Now, the only question is whether the other two locations can hold up the standard that this location has left.

I love pizza. I live for pizza. I crave pizza. Pizzeria Delfina has a solid margherita pizza. It's thin, the sauce is amazing, the cheese is perfect. They even let you get a bowl of extra sauce on the side for more amazingness. They have a ton of other types of pizza, but I'm a simple girl with simple needs. If a place can make a good margherita pizza, I can pretty much trust that anything coming out of that kitchen is delicious. They also have delicious salads as an appetizer.

Delicious pizza, great salad dressing, nice wines, excellent atmosphere. Delfina is a must try in San Francisco. Oh, great service as well! Only issue is that the tables are really really really close to each other :/ So don't go to talk really personal or business related things.

best + most authentic pizza you can get in SF. simple margherita is the very best, and the brussel sprouts are a must. there are two different locations in the city. delfina is next door, and also great.

One of my favorite pizza places in SF. They make amazing pizza dough! I’ve been here countless times and it’s always packed and always hard to find a seat. Their menu is up on the wall upon entry to their establishment. Best wood fire pizza. I recommend: Prosciutto Pie or their Margherita.
