This place serves up some serious pizza and other authentic Italian fare. A sister restaurant to the original Delfina, a restaurant some argue launched a thousand fresh, approachable Italian cuisine imitators in the Bay Area, Delfina Pizzaria is somewhat of a mis-nomer. While you can't go wrong with any of their Neopolitan pizzas crisped over high heat and perfectly balanced with fresh, local (and often-times innovative if it's the daily special) ingredients some other must-try's are the meatballs, brussels "e Pepe" and the tricolore salad. They don't deliver but are a perennial take-out. The staff are so nice you don't need the delivery guy-- plus-- they have excellent beer while you wait. Once a week if not a more frequent occurence! Can't stay away.

Very well executed pizza. This restaurant deserves the pizza gourmand reputation it has. To dine at Delfina, being so popular, the proper mental preparation is a prerequisite. When everyone wants to eat, Delfina will be extremely busy and noisy. Nonetheless, observing the staff, they were totally unflappable. Very professional. The food preparation is excellent. There is plenty of variety in the wine list for someone who enjoys wine. The table service is prompt and efficient. I love sausage and had two kinds on my pizza. It was perfect. And they had lots of extra chili condiments so I could spice it up to my taste. The spicy olive oil in small salt shakers was a clever touch. I will return next month when I visit San Francisco for my son's graduation from USF. I need a great pizza joint, and Delfina is it!

After a busy day of walking around Fisherman's Wharf and The Presidio, I was hungry! Pizzeria Delfina was definitely able to satisfy my hunger. I read the reviews before going and many people said that there was a wait so before going I called to see if there was a wait and if so if I could make reservations. Unfortunately, I was told it's first come, first serve. We decided to go for it anyway and when the three of us arrived, we were told the wait was for about an hour. We decided to wait it out and they have a chalk board where you write your name and the number of people in your party. We ended up waiting for at most about 45 minutes because three seats opened up at the bar/counter. If we didn't take those seats, the wait for a table was about another 10 minutes. Service was good. All the staff were attentive and nice. The food came pretty quick, which is what I would expect because this place is not too big and there were a lot of chefs in the kitchen. I got the margarita pizza and it was very good. The size was good. I was pretty hungry and ate the whole thing myself. I highly recommend asking for olive oil so you can dip the slice of pizza in the olive oil because it adds more taste. Speaking of taste, I could really taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. The one negative I had with this place was the music. They unnecessarily blast rock music through the speakers so we all kind of have to yell to each other. Overall, I can see why this place has such good reviews and I highly recommend it.

We heard the pizza here was one of the best in the SF area and we were not let down. We really enjoyed our choice which had fennel sausage and peppers. They had a decent wine selection and we ended up buying a bottle. The service throughout was great, you can tell they are proud and passionate and it shows and bodes well. Overall, we would come back when we are back in the area.

Yummm. If you're a fan of thin crust Italian style pizza, this is the place for you. My favorites are the broccoli rabe and the funghi. Great in person or to go!

Two venues in one with this excellent half restaurant half pizzeria. The pizzas are great with a thin crust. Sit at the bar if you want to see the pizzaiolo at work

We were just in the neighborhood and needed a quick bike to eat and found pizza Delfina on google maps. The 4+ stars reviews looked good so decided to try it. 20 min later we were eating our pizza Margharitta for $15 and I've got to say - WOW. We haven't had that good of a thin crust pizza in a looong time. The sauce was just perfect, and a perfect amount of it too. Will have to come back here again.

These are the most authentic Italian pizzas I've had in San Francisco. My favorite is the broccoli raab. The prosciutto pie was good but had a little too much prosciutto for my taste. The service has always been really good, and it's nice they have outdoor seating available.
