Decent drinks, fun, stylish atmosphere, but way overpriced for the quality and portion of food. 12 dollars for two tacos that don't even come with rice and beans? What a rip-off. Our server was great, but the food was just ok. Definitely plenty of better places to go in Back bay, especially for that amount of money. Hell, the food trucks in that area are better!

I had resisted going here for the dumbest of reasons: because I didn't like the spot that formerly occupied the space! But finally last night my spouse and I gave it a chance and loved it. Expensive (yes, you're in Back Bay with some of the highest commercial rents in the entire country) but wonderful small plates of Latin influenced food, surprisingly 2/3 of which is vegetarian. From the roasted Brussels sprouts to the charred cauliflower everything was rich, complex, and nuanced. Atmosphere is rustic-industrial which is hard to achieve. Highly recommended but bring your wallet.

Originally my plans were to attend Fire and Ice, however the vibe across the street caught my attention. My girlfrieds and I decided to be adventures and take a risk and decided to attend Tico. As we walked in the atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing. We were greated by a female hostes who explained that the wait for a table was 30 minutes. We decided to wait and had a few drinks in their lounge area which was amazing. Before we knew it we were informed that our table was ready. We waited at the table for about 10 minutes for waitress to come. Eventually after waiting our waitress made it to our table. We order our food and continued with our conversation, 20 minutes passed,30 and finally one of my friends got her appetizer, than we waited another 20 minutes and our food started to come to the table. However my one of my friends who had order Lobster Tacos, her food never came. We asked a different waitress to check on the tacos because our waitress disappeared. It took them less than 5 minutes for the tacos to come to the table. I believe it was the manager who brought the tacos to our table, he never apologized or even try to. I had order the steak which was very cold and not medium well like I had asked. At this point I was ready to explode. We were so upset we asked for our bill, it took our waitress about 20 minutes to come and finish our transaction. Our bill came out to $159 and some change. The experience was horrible, we ended up leaving and had to make a stop at Mcdonald's because we were all hungry. I will give the restaurant 4 stars for the atmoshphere and decor. If they put mored efforts into their peoples skills and service like they did with their vibe and decor the restaurant has alot of potential. I don't think I will be visiting this restaurant in the future.

I've never listened to Often by The Weekend while eating dinner, but maybe I should do it often... Went twice in one week! I was early to meet friends so I got a drink at the bar and then came later in the week for dinner. The first time my friend got the Moscow Mule which was super fast because it came from a tap, but he said he couldn't taste much vodka, but the ginger beer was nice. I had the blood orange margarita and it was delicious. Blood orange everything is delicious, but this was extra good because of the balance. I want more salt on my rim though. Bartender was nice and quick for the margarita too even though it was quite busy (especially for a Tuesday). The second time I tried the spicy margarita which was really spicy, and went really well with the food. Almost too spicy, but it hit that level and stayed there. I tried so many things and they were all great, but the main things I got were the lobster and avocado taco, fried cheese and fried olives. I didn't get much lobster from the taco, because it was made more like a lobster roll, I think it had mayo but I can't say for sure. I thought it would be chunks of lobster and avocado mixed, but if they wanted it to be like a lobster roll, use the avocado instead of mayo. I want to eat that now....The cheese was great and the sauce was perfect--its pomegranate! I would not expect cheese and pomegranate to be good, but it was. The fried olives are pan fried, not deep fried like I expected, but they were still great. Service was really nice and quick. We asked for things to come out as they were ready, which I recommend.

Tico is a great space and has a cute little outdoor space that's fun and funky. The tacos are simple but delicious (especially the shrimp-bacon-avocado taco) and the roasted cauliflower is out of this world. Drinks are only so-so: order the paloma for an authentic fresh-squeezed fruit+tequila delight.

Well the service leaves us to wonder what the food will taste like. We thought about Leaving but we stayed. The food took a little longer than usual to my taste, but was it ever worth the wait. Loved and enjoyed every bite of it. I would go back just for the food.
