When you have an emotion, you are experiencing what a meaning feels like. And that’s because of what an emotion is and how it works.

If you really want to master your emotions what will you feel? How will you handle your emotions? What will be different about your emotional life?

If you really want to master your emotions -self-actualize. That is, make real (actualize) your best version of you.

Where we place our attention, context by context and moment by moment, demonstrates our capacity to lead. It also informs our ability to connect and to relate to the people who are following us.

Where we place our attention, informs our capacity to connect, relate and lead situations, our followers, our organisation and more specifically, ourselves.

The work environment is no different than “real life”, and just like in real life, most of the time executives don’t really know what’s missing. They don’t seem to grasp what they could change, add, or remove from their lives, or themselves, to be better leaders.

Executives tend to have a mistaken identity in the professional context. Their sense of self, that we can call identity, personality, or even ego, can be false.

What is the psychology of NLP? Yes, it is Cognitive Psychology in that it came from the leaders of that Cognitive Psychology movement.

What happened at the beginning and what created what we today know as Neuro-Linguistic Program arose from a movement—the Human Potential Movement.

Shawn Achor shares a lot of insights around some interesting factors that we neglect and perhaps we should not, like the dangers of measuring the average, because, that’s exactly what we are going to get: the average, instead of excellence.

We should go away, slowly, but steadily, from the mantra: ‘If I work harder I will be more successful, if I am more successful I am happier.’

When is an emotion not a real emotion? Don’t be fooled, just because someone starts a sentence with, “I feel…” does not mean that they are talking about their emotions.

Yes these are pseudo-emotions and, as pseudo-emotions, they deceive you into thinking you are experiencing or working with an actual emotion when you are not.

The NLP Communication Model is a tool for modeling. Now the interesting about it is that it arose from modeling.

When a person finds out what stage of maturity they’re at, they will be able to unlock the potential that’s waiting for them.

One of the biggest issues facing executives is their own structure of the self. The ego of the executives often gets in the way of their capacity to lead, and this can be demonstrated in two ways.

http://bit.ly/2h9H5Rn
Company executives have to work as enlightened leaders, not only to achieve their own goals, but to greatly influence the persons around them.

Completed my prac with Jay and Max in August this year and loved every moment of the journey to self discovery and developmenting my coaching abilities. Loved every minute of the training, it has allowed me to build better relationships both personal & work related, allowed me to become a better listener something we all seem is so simple is actually a really difficult thing to do, through NLP in general not only have I met some great human beings along the way, for me it has changed my thoughts & views on things & for that I thank everyone involved from the coaches to the support team, life is too short we should all embrace it more often.

My coaching experience with Joseph came at the perfect time. We set goals early on in the developmental process and he kept me driving forward as we engaged each week. I've continued coaching with Joseph beyond our initial engagement as my career has taken off with greater velocity than I ever thought possible......Highly recommended

Just did the one day Developing Emotional Intelligence course with The Coaching Room and was thoroughly impressed. Jay was informative and entertaining and there was not one moment throughout the day where my attention wandered elsewhere. I learned a great deal and look forward to attending the next course on NLP with The Coaching Room. I would definitely recommend them.
