Sunrise at Moraine Park in RMNP. I love the way the Big Thompson River meanders through the meadow.

I took this photo when I was wandering around Central District in Hong Kong. Basically I got lost, went down some alley and found this cool butcher shop.

I just returned from a trip to Great Sand Dunes NP in Colorado. This picture was taken from the top of High Dune right after a rainstorm. We (my wife and I) almost didn't climb the dune field that day because the weather looked so terrible but thankfully it cleared off near sunset.

This is the Memorial Chorten which is located in the middle of Thimphu Bhutan. If you get up early, you can catch the locals walking around the chorten in a clockwise direction.

Inspiration Point Overlook ---- Letchworth St Park  NY .The upper falls sits in front of the old trestle bridge and the middle falls is the centerpiece. I used a 70-200mm lens and stitched a vertical panorama

Redwood forest along California's North Coast, Del Norte County, California

Quick break to share an image, which recently was sold to become a 10'x 25' wall mural in a hospital. This is a multi frame panorama shot with a #Nikon D7000.

Plus, it's a great addition to #treetuesday curated by +Christina Lawrie & +Shannon S. Myers. Also for +Jarek Klimek's #plusphotoextract

Cheers & thanks for looking,
- Gary.

Plitvice Waterfalls Panorama. Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia is a natural wonder I have wanted to experience for many years. It's also wildly popular in the summer months so crowds can be a challenge for photography. I was additionally challenged by heavy thunderstorms. The best time to photograph is most likely early in the morning before the crowds arrive and the boardwalks begin vibrating constantly. I tried to head out at 6:00 AM the one morning I was there but the sky let loose with a downpour that trapped me in the car for an hour. The afternoon before we were caught in a thunderstorm of biblical proportions during our afternoon hike as well. I hunkered in my rain jacket for an hour waiting for it to clear. When it did stop raining there was some great light and mist and I found myself alone, the throngs having left to run for cover. It was during this quiet moment that I was able to take this image. I hope to return in the fall or winter one day soon. There is so much more here to explore.

Four image panorama, landscape orientation. Sony NEX-7, E 16-35mm F2.5-5.6 OSS lens, B+W polarizer, 1/3 second at f/14 and ISO 100. 37mm focal length (full frame equivalent).
