I had a raw deep dish pizza which I had never even thought was a possible menu item. It was great. I love the varieties of fresh green salads that come with the entrees (I had the caeser salad). I don't live in CA so I am grateful I could come and will be even more grateful if they open more locations!

When I feel like I need to pay for my food sins I come here for the cularinary equivalent of a confessional booth. I emerge cleansed of my rack of ribs and ube ice cream I had the other day.

Came here for a salad and wow it was one of the best I've had in the bay area. Definitely a happy, hippy type restaurant where "namaste" is commonly heard. The food is all raw (w/ the exception of the rice and quinoa), vegan and 100% organic.

Cafe Gratitude Berkeley Review I am Whole I am Luscious I am Radiant Today we ate at Cafe Gratitude in Berkeley after a day long trek in Muir woods. A wonderful experience and exhausting. After walking 6 miles or so in the woods we decided something hearty and healthy was in order. I ordered my favorite go to meal in the past the "I am Whole". In the past this has had fluffy quinoa with a generous portion of kimchi and sea vegetables with sprouts and other goodies...and just like my last trip they are suddenly really stingy and pulling some head trips with their wordings when it comes to their menu. The kimchi was absent completely in it's place was purple cabbage, the sea vegetables<--- plural was just some large pieces of seaweed and the quinoa was large and clunky and rather than it previously complimenting the meal completely overwhelmed everything thing else. It might have been 80% quinoa. The days of balanced portions and honest menu have gone from Cafe Gratitude which is a disappointment. The flavors were good but not outstanding, the portions were large but only due to the overwhelming quinoa portion to every other ingredient. The wait staff was abrupt, and almost non existent and where they use to be fun and engaging was absolutely lacking in manners or personality. The I am Luscious was disappointingly only chocolate flavored and one could not detect any of the other supposed ingredients of dates and figs or vanilla bean. But for a chocolate almond milkshake it was great, but it was advertized as a almond fig, date milkshake it was soso. The I am Radiant the local tiramisu cake was the star and was just absolutely amazing and unique experience. It wasn't overly sweet it was just the right levels of chocolate, espresso and nutty consistency. So this was not the best most outstanding experience at Cafe Gratitude it is good, but I was surprised at how disappointing and more "corporate"/"chain" it has begun to feel.

I'm officially boycotting this restaurant. About a week and a half ago I went to Cafe Gratitude for dinner with my roommates. It was their first time there and they were jazzed to experience vegan cuisine. As a vegan I'm always trying to plant seeds through delicious vegan food- well that all went down the crapper that night. We had just started eating our meals when out of nowhere i felt a bunch of liquids being spilled on me. A waiter had spilled kimchi juice, red cabbage juice, and green chlorophyll juice all over me and my clothing ! I rushed to the bathroom to clean the colorful liquids off before they could stain but it was too late. Upon returning to my table I was assured that the management would reimburse me for the cost of the clothing/ dry cleaning. I was a little relieved by this until they handed me the check for my dinner. I was shocked and appalled that I had to pay for my meal that was ruined and that I didn't even get to enjoy. Whatever. I paid my tab and left. I returned to the restaurant a week later to speak with the manager and submit my receipts for the clothing. I was told that The general manager didn't think I should be reimbursed because clothing could be damaged anywhere and my meal should have instead been comped. I was offered a free piece of pie. This Infuriated me. My meal and clothing were ruined and they think a piece of pie is sufficient? Cafe gratitudes management is clearly not grateful for it's loyal customers that bring in recurring and new customers. Screw this place and it's management. Just a note: the server did buy me a slice of pie to make amends for his mistake.

After hearing so much about this café from friends I finally got a chance to check it out myself. ★ ----------------------------------------------------------------------★ Did it live up to all the hype? Yes, I would say so. I ordered the HEARTY which is a raw deep dish pizza and it didn't disappoint me. It was flavorful and I enjoyed the sauce; made from sun dried tomatoes. ★-----------------------------------------------------------------------★ For dessert I settled for something simple: coconut ice cream with a walnut based caramel sauce. It was very creamy, and the walnut caramel sauce complimented it well. ★-----------------------------------------------------------------------★ The price. Well, it was a bit expensive 💲💲💲 but if you want to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere, and eat good nutritious food than it is well worth your money What are some of your favorite raw food/vegan restaurants? #cafegratitude #rawfoodadventures #bayareacuisine #rvbglife ✊

Some of the food is pretty tasty. However, the place is poorly run and inconsistent. Last time I was there, they got the order wrong twice and ran out of ingredients for the only dishes that appealed to me. The vegan health aspect is largely negated by a heavy hand on the sauces and dressings
