Well you can sign up at a local recruitment station, go to an ROTC program at college, go to West Point, go to the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Virginia Military Institute, or the naval academy. Semper Fi and good luck!!!!!

One of the requirements to enlist in the Marine Corps is a passing score on the Initial Strength Test, which includes pull-ups (flexed arm hang for females), crunches, and a timed run. Learn more about requirements for each and how to prepare at http://bit.ly/T3ZfzM.

Yes, and the flexed arm hang is not as easy as it looks. :/  However, if you keep practicing with it, endurance and strength can be built, and you will be able to hang on for the required 90 seconds. ;)
