Only a very small amount of human DNA is human, meaning all animals and all living creatures on the Earth are also our ancestors. Even the space bacteria that started life on earth are our ancestors. All the animals that came before humans are our ancestors. Ancestors are also the humans of all ancient cultures who figured out how to survive as humans on the earth and then later on overcame that level, of being hunter-gatherers surviving to the level of developing complex human cultures once humans started to settle as farmers. All ancient humans are our ancestors as well as all ancient life. All of anyone's line are the strongest lifeforms that overcome the struggle to survive long enough to reproduce. They represent the strength of uruz. They are the ones smart enough to have developed all human knowledge and culture we now have. All this is what it means to worship the ancestors, honoring that which they have given to us going back to the beginning of time from the space bacteria that formed life here to our direct family line to all that lays in between this. This heritage that the ancestors give us going all the way back to those space bacteria to what we have now, this is othala. Primal consciousness (fire) is fehu. The order of the runes represent the development and evolution of all life from the simplest to the most advanced. Life develops as a ladder taking steps higher and higher each laid down by those we came before.

Hail to the ancestors, the givers of prosperity, knowledge, culture, and the spiritual protectors of their offspring. Hail the Alfar and Disir!

Emily: A good way to practice gratitude is with a daily ritual. You can call upon or picture in your mind whatever form of the divine you feel most close to. Can be a certain God or goddess, or angels, or whatever you feel most connected to. Make a small offering to this being or food and/or food, can just be a small bit of food. Offering food and/or drink is a way to give energy. Then say in your own words thanks for all the positive things that happened lately. By doing this you reinforce for more of the same kind of positive things to come to you in the future. Be sure and word your thanks in the positive. This words on the principles that energy follows thought. By giving thanks for good stuff we then put more energy to these good things and this is magick to make more good things.

Just as one might ration out provisions in anticipation of hard times, so will some cyclists engage in an act I will refer to as "saving gears." Allow me to explain. Say you're doing a long, unpleasant climb. Almost straight away the gradient is pretty bad, in a "hits you over the head with a ...

The tarot is a picture book of incredible knowledge on how to work with energies on a symbolic level. By studying tarot one learns how to do magick.

Emily: Energy does follow thought exactly. That is the reason for meditation and yoga practice as it is about training the mind to be able to stay focused so that you can gain control on what you put energy into and thus create. Magick is based on skillfully applying focused energies towards manifesting certain aims, either external or internal. Symbols are mind tools used to access certain concepts and then they are energized through ritual actions. This is the art and science of magick. You should read the book, True Magick, by Amber K. Buddhists talk about mindfulness, Hindus talk about yoga, they are both the same thing. Yoga means union. Yoga is any action done with mindfulness. Physical forms of yoga are physical exercises done with mindfulness on breath and posture.

★ About Me ★

I am a spiritual oriented person. I follow the path of Norse-Paganism (Vanatru Heathenism), and also Chinese Pure Land Buddhism. Norse-Paganism is a Earth based spiritual path that honors the ancient gods and goddesses of the Vikings. I make daily offerings of drink and food to various Norse gods, goddesses, and associated spiritual beings, and do other daily rituals related to this path. I also incorporate meditation into my daily spiritual practices, chanting the name of one of the Buddhas, Amitabha Buddha, as part of my Pure Land Buddhist practices, as well as chanting the Amitabha Sutra. I have a strong interest in forms of divination such as tarot, astrology, and the runes, and have studied these things rather extensively. I have studied many of the religions and spiritual paths of the world and have intensive knowledge about metaphysics.

I feel that at the deeper more esoteric expressions of all religions there is the truth that we are all one, that the universe is all one living aware consciousness that goes beyond all form, is able to take any form as all possibilities are this all, that is filled with love and the desire for the whole to reunite back onto itself. It is only at the more superficial expressions of any religion that most of the masses tend to be more of aware of, that we find limited concepts of the divine and that we find divisiveness and fear based viewpoints. Fear is the opposite of love. Fear is what pulls us away from oneness and limits greater possibilities. True love is without judgment and seeks no limitations and accepts ALL. The true purpose of religion is to guide us away from fear and back to love and oneness. Due to our nature as beings trapped into a certain identity we tend to connect best with the divine given certain forms, thus why there is so many varied religions, but at their core all religions seek the same ultimate goal, union back to the unlimited whole of the divine. Through life embodiment we act as mirrors for ourselves so that we can grow through karmic interactions, but the end goal for all is return to awareness of the whole, return to awareness of being one being, but yet without loosing our sense of being unlimited individual expressions of this whole. All beings in existence, objects, stones, plants, animals, elementals, ghosts, humans, spirits, angels, fae, gnomes, etins, elves, wights, aliens, thought beings, ascended beings, gods, goddesses, archetypes, bodhisattvas, planets, stars, and cosmic formations, are undergoing this same process of growth through karmic interactions. These viewpoints are what I have discovered through lots of deep study of many religions and spiritual traditions. All of them when studied at the deeper level point to these common truths.

I feel that the only way to more deeply connect to the divine in a genuine way is through doing regular daily spiritual practices of some sort. There are so many possible practices of all different religions and spiritual paths that can be used for this, prayer, ritual, meditation, chanting, singing or listening to songs of religious devotion, doing good deeds for others, fasting, vision quests, making offerings of food or drink to the divine, puja, bowing to the divine, reading spiritual texts, making spiritual vows, following a certain diet such as vegetarianism, ritual drumming, trance work, channeling, yoga, acquiring spiritual knowledge, spiritual sex, traveling to holy places, path working, astral projection, magickal practices, divination, shamanism, psychic healing, going to religious services, looking deeply within the self, and many others. Without having some sort of regular daily spiritual practices it is very hard to have a lasting or true connection to the divine. Many people have a rare profound spiritual experience but then since they don't follow a regular spiritual practice of some sort that connection goes away after awhile and they loose the benefits of it. Spiritual practice done on a regular basis to maintain a spiritual connection is just the same as the need for regular physical exercise to maintain the physical body. The more one practices spiritual practices regularly the stronger their connection to the divine becomes. Everyone should find some spiritual practices that they like of whatever religious or spiritual traditions they enjoy to practice regularly.

I have been strict vegetarian for all of my adult life. I try to eat mostly healthy, getting organic much of the time. My typical meal is Asian or Indian inspired vegetarian, or veggie soups like lentils or other forms of yummy beans, along with some sprout bread.

I love working out and doing fitness activities. I love yoga. My favorite forms of yoga are Power Yoga, and Kundalini Yoga. I enjoy long distance road bicycling. Bicycling was something I got into in my teens and then have done on and off at times in my life.

Computers interest me, they are a wonderful tool for gaining knowledge. I am interested in anything that helps me to more deeply understand about the human mind and psyche, and also the nature of the universe. I also love the social sciences such as psychology and anthropology. History and cultures of the past fascinate me.

Politically I am not conservative. I am not a liberal. I am not libertarian. I am not socialist. I am not communist. I am not a capitalist. I certainly am not an undecided as I truly have strong ideas as to what I do and don't like politically. My viewpoints don't fit into any current day box I know of. I am a free-thinker with my own ideas. I believe that people, respecting all life, and protecting the Earth should always come first before money, profit, or big business. I strongly support separation of religion and government. All people should be allowed to practice whatever religion they wish; religion is about personal spiritual enrichment, not about power over temporal things. Most important for humanity to grow and progress is to freely share all knowledge and thus I oppose any rules that restrict this.

My favorite forms of music to listen to are industrial, ethereal, goth, psy-trance, techno, and spiritual music related to Buddhism or Hinduism. I love music that either has a really great electric beat for dancing to, or stuff that puts me into an interesting calming trance state.

I have no children and wish to keep things that way. I have no pets, but if I did have a pet I would be into having a cat. I love how introspective and meditative cats are.

Things I value the most in relationships are good communications, openness, honesty, and trust. Sharing common life goals is what makes a relationship work well. Having good sexual chemistry is a must I feel. I am a very sexual and sensual person. I believe strongly that both genders are unique and different and compliment each other yet are very different in nature. I feel it is important to understand and honor these gender differences and in a relationship I consider it important that both adopt roles that are best suited for their gender. I am into BDSM, and Gorean style TPE relationships in which I have the Dominate role in the relationship. One aspect I enjoy the most about a D/s relationship is the chance it gives for me to impart my knowledge and guidance to my partner, and to help her improve herself as a person and to grow spiritually and personally. I tend towards a poly approach to relationships.

Once rode my bicycle 207 miles in one day. Hitchhiked across the country a few times. Lived nomadically for several years while on a spiritual journey to seek the meaning of life the universe and everything. Started using computers back in the 70s before most people. I build my own desktop computer. I know how to install and use the Linux operating system. Been through Hurricane Katrina getting out of New Orleans the day before but still experiencing the weakened brunt of it in Mississippi. Have been to 44 US states and 3 Canadian providences. Have lived in 7 US states and in some of those states several different places. Used to hang out with people who truly believed they were vampires, but none of them ever tried to bite me. Taken part in some huge American Revolutionary War reenactment battles. Worked for several years in world famous Jackson Square in New Orleans as a tarot card reader giving tarot readings to many people of all walks of life from all over the world. Have been on a New Orleans Mardi Gra parade float tossing Mardi Gra beads to massive crowds of people. Taken part in a co-ed naked bicycle ride through the downtown of a town I used to live in. Been to large hippie camping gatherings in the wilderness. Danced and partied at goth night clubs. Been to kinkster, swinger, and BDSM parties. Have drank absinthe and mead. Been to lots of powerful spiritual rituals of many types. Have been to areas with intense spiritual earth energies. Seen some very intensely beautiful places. Been to a talk by the Dalai Lama, his accent is very thick so was hard to understand him but he sure seemed to be having fun! Seen the White Buffalo, an important spiritual animal avatar in the Native American tradition, in Janesville Wisconsin. Seen a true Native American dance ceremony at a remote reservation (I was passing threw traveling and stopped at the grocery store there and got invited by locals) in the desert south-west, was no tourists there, was the real thing. Have camped for a night on top of a tall building, was so windy the tent would have blown away if I didn't have my heavy backpack in it to keep it put. Met plenty of weird and interesting people, some of them even weirder than me! I have been living a unique and very interesting life!
