Electric Ireland launch their Young SVP campaign
For three years, Electric Ireland has supported the Young SVP National Youth Development Programme which is a nationwide initiative, providing positive, meaningful opportunities to 4th and 5th year students - showing them first-hand the importance of social justice. The programme encourages young people into social action and promotes their social and personal development. Through the Young SVP programme, Electric Ireland aims to change negative perceptions of young people and drive pride in the positive impact young people have on Irish society.
The Electric Ireland and St. Vincent de Paul partnership is brought to life through an interactive video which has gone live today. The video is available to view on http://whatdoyousee.ie/
and it showcases two perspectives of teens in Ireland, challenging the viewer to re-assess their perception of youth participation in the community. The interactive video utilises cutting edge technology enabling a mobile in-browser, dual-messaging video experience. You can also view this through our blog which can be found here.
Electric Ireland have also created a powerful photo series, 17 Under 17, aimed at challenging the viewer to take a different perspective on young people. The 17 Under 17 photo series will champion teens who are making a change in communities around the country. This will be live from the 20th February.#WhatDoYouSee
