is a recent graduate of Emerson College's unique Writing, Literature, and Publishing program, who has moved to New York City in hopes of using her refined social media, writing, editing, digital photography, and overall creative skill set to interpret the precariously enigmatic world around her.
At 23, she currently works as an editorial intern at TED Conferences, where she writes blog posts, helps choose videos based on TED's editorial style, and manages other editorial projects independently. Her notable accomplishments thus far include creating and writing some of the biographies for the TEDGlobal2012 Program
taking place in Edinburgh, Scotland June 2012, and working at the recent TED2013 New York City auditions.
Prior to this position, she was an editorial assistant intern in the higher education division at Oxford University Press
. While working at the non-profit book publisher, she largely worked on projects that involved gathering reviews, writing review summaries, and she also managed transmittal and contract documents to keep publishing schedules on track.
During her final semester as an Emerson student, she worked for Emerson College's web services department transforming the SEO and metadata components for all news articles on the Emerson College website
. Also, during the summer before her last semester, she worked as a web development and production intern at Interior Design Magazine, where she produced, edited, and organized content for InteriorDesign.net and associated blogs (i.e. Neocon.Interiordesign.net and Designwire.InteriorDesign.net). She also edited event calendar submissions and photos for the "Best Of" book series and online slideshows, product pages, and the like.
