I was very disappointed in the staff at Ellynne, when I decided on a dress the girl tugged on the back of it and said "We'll just go with this size." Not a single measurement was done and they also decided to order the dress 5 inches shorter just by looking (that part turned out OK-it was still too long). The dress was quite large when it came. I was afraid that my alterations were going to cost an arm and a leg due to the amount of lace and beading, as my friend's dress was altered by their contracted seamstresses and cost over $500. Two weeks before the wedding my dress was dropped off and they were given four days notice of when to have the dress steamed and ready for pick up. I showed up at the exact time that I had told them, and the dress was not steamed. Instead of being up front and telling me it wasn't done, they said I needed to wait a few minutes. I could see the steam billowing from the back room and they "steamed" it in about ten minutes. It takes longer than ten minutes to steam a wedding gown. The service I received would have been fine if my dress was $100, however it was well over that amount.

I purchased several bridesmaids dress from Ellynne's and had nothing but a great experience. I told my sister that going to Ellynne's was a must due to the experiences I had with friends and my own bridesmaids dresses. Once it was my turn to find a dress, not only was I able to find it at one of their amazing sample sales but once I got there for my appointment, Lynn herself, iron and fluffed my dream dress. This was a dress that was marked down by more than 50% off but she still made me feel as if I was buying the dress full price. It was such a special moment for me!

I called the business to schedule an appointment for a bridesmaids dress fitting (which is only needed, according to their phone recording, for Fridays-Sundays). I did not receive a return recall after 72 hours so I went to the store on later that week. I was not greeted by any employees. I waited in the lobby for more than 20 minutes without being greeted. While I waited their phone rang about 5-6 times and was not answered by any staff. Eventually an employee came to the front desk- but ignored me, did not ask if I had been helped, did not acknowledge me in any way. I continued to sit for another few minutes before leaving the store. Their website states that appointments are required, yet according to their phone message you only need an appointment for Fridays-Sundays.

I ordered my Maggie Sottero dress from this store, since it's the only one that carries that line in Lincoln. They never were easy to deal with in the ordering process, my dress also came in 2 weeks later than they expected. In alterations, the girl who did them was wonderful, however the store said my dress could be bought in a petite and it couldn't, so we had to haggle on who would pay for the hemming. The store ended up paying, but it took a delayed call from the store owner to verify they would. They also took forever to have my dress steamed the day before the wedding. They said it'd be ready at 10am and it wasn't available for pick up until after lunch. If you're going to use them, just keep your eyes open and ducks in a row.

Let me start by saying I NEVER write reviews. However, my experience here was disappointing that I feel other brides should know. My experience started out great in the beginning because they give you an experience that every bride wants... a large suite while trying on dresses and a bottle of wine to celebrate you finding your dress. After that, it all went down hill. I live 2 hours away from Ellynnes so I had to make special trips in for fittings on Saturdays. The first fitting I had, they didn't tell the seamstress to come so the owner (Ellynne) pinned my dress in a couple places to be altered so that my trip wasn't wasted and they could get started. A month later I came back for my second fitting... only to pull the dress out of the bag and it was completely untouched, the pins were still in it from the last time. Thank goodness for Maria, the seamstress, who worked the entire Saturday on my dress so I could have another fitting that evening. My next problem came when I ordered my veil, because I wanted 2 layers underneath the top lace layer. They had to order it special because of that. I called many times to check and make sure they were ordering it correctly, and they assured me they had. So a month before my wedding I went in for another fitting to find that my veil was ordered wrong (the two layers that were to go underneath were actually "sandwiching" what was supposed to be the top layer on the veil. We also had a problem with them sizing our bridesmaids dresses. One of my bridesmaids went to Lincoln to get measured for her dress. When she got it, it was WAY to small... to the point it was going to have to be ripped completely apart for it to be able to fit. They refused to order a new dress unless she paid for it, and they also made her pay for all of those alterations. When my mother called the owner to give them a chance to make things right, Ellynne had told her that they could order a new veil but that they wouldn't do anything for my bridesmaid because she really should have come into the store in Lincoln to get measured (she also lives two hours away). When we informed Ellynne that she had in fact gone in and gotten measured at the store, we were told that she wouldn't help her out because she had already helped us out with fixing the veil. It was completely frustrating because her "helping us out" was really fixing their mistakes, and because they made the mistake on sizing my bridesmaid's they should have "helped us out" with that as well. Because of that mistake my bridesmaid had to spend more money and more time getting it fixed, and the owner and managers were rude when we asked for help. In the end of our experience, Ellynne would not even make eye contact with us when in the store. The ONLY reason I am giving this store a one star is because I found my dress here (which I love) and because we were connected with Maria (who does the alterations at her business-Maria Sewing Center). Maria saved my dress experience because she fixed whatever I needed in a timely manner and is amazing at what she does. She is an awesome person inside and out! As for Ellynne's bridal, I will tell anyone I know to go somewhere else unless they want to be ignored or get a headache every time they go in the store.

Had an appointment for February 8th, 2014 at 9:00 am, got there and found out they carry no plus sizes, they had size 10 and below dresses (which in wedding dresses a size 10 is like a size 8 in jeans). I wound up visiting 6 different shops and they were the ONLY shop that didn't have anything I could try on. Other stores are carrying sizes 10, 12 and 14 for samples and even some larger and smaller this is what the other 5 shops I visited are doing including David's Bridal, Alfred Angelo, The Bridal Isle (in Loomis, NE), The Bridal Collection (in Grand Island, NE) and where I wound up buying my dress Elegant Occasions (in Lincoln, NE). Ellynne's is way behind the times and are not keeping up with the competition and making customers ready to buy an expensive item from them feel like crap. When I talked to the manager about not being able to try things on they were unconcerned at best, blaming the brands for only sending the smaller sizes which obviously is an excuse considering they're the only shop like that. Bad experience, not fun, don't recommend it plus the few dresses I did look at were maybe as pretty as the other stores and double the price. I waited a week to write this so I wouldn't be spilling emotions, this is my honest opinion of Ellynne's Bridal Gallery, they don't carry a variety of sizes, they are over priced and snooty when you let them know they're the only ones behind the time and their competition is all beating them out.
