Hands down the best AUTHENTIC Italian pizza in the south. If you are looking for Americanized Italian - even like the high end highly rated Italian restaurants in Birmingham - then this isn't for you. Used to live in Italy and the pizzas are exactly like this and the pastas are lightly sauced like the way Bettola does it. Love this place. My favorite restaurant in town.

Wonderful atmosphere! I was surprised to find that they didn't carry any Pinot Noir, but the waitress quickly recommended something else I might like.

Top shelf as always. Sat at the bar tonight. Wendy, Becca & Michelle took outstanding care of us. This is one of the best & most consistent restaurants in The none. We love the authenticity of this true Italian gem. As someone that has had the opportunity to visit Italy I can truly say this place is the real deal. My wife & I love the bolognese when it is available but everything is truly outstanding. From the house made pastas & sauces to the fresh made bread & pizza pies you can't go wrong. Well thought out menu & wine list with a solid beer selection also. Don't forget dessert...great also. Oh yeah, house made meats too! Try the bone marrow w/ a shot for an appetizer...unreal. Bottom line...make this a consistent stop as we do. Well done chef & staff...well done.

Came in on a Thursday night and had one of the best meals of my life. Freshly foraged mushrooms, scallops over an incredible risotto & a marscapone and prosciutto pizza that was out of this world. The best cocktail on the menu is the bartenders choice- the bartender is incredibly knowledgable and made the perfect drink to accompany my meal. Finished it off with a lace cannoli that was delicate and delicious. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Very good Italian food. Their menu could be a little more robust, but the food that they offer is excellent. Plus they pour generous drinks.

So disappointed. Will not be back. We just got back from NYC and one awesome Italian meal after another. The mediocre meal at Bettola really stood out. Maybe no one is supervising the kitchen. The quality of the DOC certified Margherita pizza was horrid. Crust was not cooked properly in the middle...very doughy. Not worthy of the D.O.C. designation. The antipasti plate was a disappointment: the meat selection was ok but who offers antipasti without vegetables? The select few antipasti vegetables they offered came out in a ketchup cup. Really tiny! Certainly not something you could share with the table. The calamari was tough. One of our party had the snapper special. While it was cooked well, it had ABSOLUTELY NO SEASONING. NOT EVEN SALT. Waiter was not very attentive. All round, it was one of the worst meals I've had. If you want Italian in Birmingham go to Bottega's or GianMarco's.

I had the quattro formaggio pasta- essentially like fettucine alfredo in concept. Unlike most pasta-and-cheese-sauce dishes, however, it tasted fantastic! Creamy, rich, and topped with fresh basil leaves for an extra kick. Wait time was not bad considering the food is fresh. Prices were decent (though lunch is cheaper than dinner), in a charming location, and the interior had a sophisticated, authentic European feel- made me feel like I was in Paris again. Will be back, maybe I'll try the gnocchi next time and a dessert!

Bettola hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
