We went on the first of many school study trips around the building today! First graders visited the main office and principal's office to research who works in these spaces and what kinds of tools they use. Many more to come!

First graders hard at work during independent reading. This week we have been working on self monitoring. As your first grader reads, they can ask themselves if what they're reading looks right, sounds right, and makes sense.

At long last! Media consent has been all cleared up for our class. I'll be posting photos from earliest to most recent.

As part of our school study, this past week we spent a few days in the block room constructing our own classrooms in groups! First graders really thought carefully about what areas and tools to include as they were building. I was astounded by their creativity! Thank you again to Thomas for the amazing photos.
