According to Wikipedia, The United States of America (commonly called the United States, the U.S., the USA, America, and the States) is a federal constitutional republic comprising fifty states and a federal district.

It further explains that, A constitutional republic is a state in which the head of state and other officials are representatives of the people and must govern according to existing constitutional law that limits the government's power over all of its citizens. Because the head of the state is elected, it is a republic and not a monarchy.

In a constitutional republic, executive, legislative, and judiical powers must be separated into distinct branches.

...This no longer applies.

Chapter 1

It’s been roughly 5 years since the collapse. it might as well have been 500. Life today barely resembles life before the chaos. The first few months was the worst. No direction. No accountability. No anything. There was a news alert that the market officially collapsed. Hours later governments collapsed. Mark one up for the information age. Days later the militaries all over the globe found that they were in charge of their countries. Months later they realized the only way to survive was to unify. The second year anniversary of the collapse heralded in the first functional one world government.

Civilization has been split into two main groups. The Civworlders, citizens who are protected (and controlled) in what were once military installations & majors cities. And the countless towns and villages, some of which have combined resources to survive the economic holocaust. These group of people are typically referred to as Unaligned Citizens or Freeworlders locally.

The typical Civworlder lives in a structure environment with all his and her basic needs provided. Food, Shelter, Medical, Recreation and Education are all rationed out by the newly formed world government. One single global force controlling three quarters of the planets civilized population. Your occupation would be assigned to you by a citizen skills assessment officer and/or qualified placement bureau rep. Entertainment directors and mental enhancement coaches are in charge of moral functions. Located in heavily fortified military installations and large metropolitan cities of the past, these structured enclaves provide their citizens (i.e. workers) with every basic need. But also dictate their every action and freedom.

Freeworlders are different. Alliances of towns and villages abandoned by the military during the initial collapse of society. The collapse hit hard and hit quick. Remote communities just got left behind. I often wonder if the response would have been the same had the disaster been a chemical attack or virus outbreak as opposed to the economic one we all experienced. I was hoping they would have been better prepared.

Our planet has went to a single global government.

I am a Civworlder. Assigned to data entry at the Global Repository Division. I catalog citizens and code them to their work assignments.

The world is a different place since the collapse. There is no free market. Hell, there is no market at all. Citizens are provided goods and services in exchange for providing goods or services. They are assigned an occupation, living quarters and

I have neglected this site for far too long. This weekend i pledge to correct this oversight. Stay tuned...a new world awaits you soon....

Chaos theory

During the first few days after the collapse of the global economy all military and their families were told to report to their closest military installation. Certain celebrities and "essential" civilians were also relocated to their nearest military facility. Every major government facility also became an extension of its nearest military counterpart.

The cities left outside these protected zones survived or perished based on their will to survive and their vicinity to the protected zones. In exchange some of the installations have trade agreements with their closest neighbors. In the world plunged in chaos, keeping as many people between you and the forgotten is the difference between survival and extinction.

Beyond this, lies random small towns that are isolated enough to survive on their own. Population heavy metro areas taken over by coalitions of those not able or willing to join the cities on the protected fringe. Campgrounds turned to villages. People helping people survive thru pure will and hope.

But chaos doesn't let willpower rest easy. For willpower requires a plan and routine. Chaos hates these things most of all. Chaos survives in this post modern era. Yes, once the governments of the world collapsed and constricted into their network of military installations and protected
