I also enjoy places like this. They might not grab everyone, but the physical reminder of life lived in a different time is precious. I know most people believe life was somehow slower then, but it couldn't be more untrue. Just to keep up with food on the table, and clothes on your back would have made every waking minute count with a large family. In some ways so very wonderful, but in others so much harder to make it all work.

I, for one, love the garden pictures so bring 'em on! You have so many good things going on that I'm not sure how you have time to fuss with all the flowers though. I have to tell you I am in love with the fabrics you used for #40 Farmer's Wife. I was working through my own blocks again this year on the second round, but once again they got neglected. You've inspired me! Thank you.

So many original takes and take offs on this quilt block. You are right to show it works great as a pillow, too. Your little bird on the post is the greatest!

Maartje, this turned out so well, I think! I know you're working on getting it perfect, but I think you've accomplished your goal for June's #BraveQuilter  challenge for sure! Congratulations and thank you for linking your Betty Boops up. And by the way, I also like the sexy Betty Boops the best, too.

Maartje, I'm always in awe of your designs, but when I read your post about Betty Boop I was really intrigued. I'm excited to see what you come up with, and very happy to have you linked up with #BraveQuilter  at Pink Doxies. See you the first of July!

This looks like a book worth checking out. It's nice when they go project by project rather than just a general book on 'xyz'. I missed this totally, and appreciate the heads up.

March is officially over, and the wrap up link party for #BraveQuilter  is open April 1-3. The April link up runs April 4-10, midnight EST. Who is a Brave Quilter? YOU are, if you're willing to try one new thing this month to push yourself out of your quilting comfort zone.  Link to a blog or Instagram post at the beginning of the month telling us your goal, and give us an update the first of the next month. It's so simple! Full details on the blog, and one lucky winner will come away with a sweet fabric prize each month.

Let's create a network where it's okay to take creative risks, try new things, and build each other up.
