We use the ritz for a range of services, including nice nights out, breakfast, lunches and casual drinks. The staff here are simply amazing. If we have seen them once they remember your name, they are always well dressed and friendly, they always go above and beyond in service and always have time to answer questions and see how you are going.

Beautiful setting on the Pacific Coast. The food is also really good however I wish they had bigger portions. Perfect location for a quick getaway.

Conservatory bar and lounge has surprisingly poor service. Food is unremarkable. Pricing is Ritz level. Also, 20% gratuity included even for parties of 6; so little incentive to provide good service. (Did not stay at hotel).

One of my favorite places in the whole world. It's incredibly scenic and it's so romantic. Reminds me of Wuthering Heights! The views are incredible - you can walk along the beach, you can walk near the golf course, etc. I would also say that they food here is incredible as well (though pricey). I love the smores you can make outside at the fireplaces. If you want to surprise your significant other, I would highly recommend this spot! I haven't tried the golf spot here, but I also here that it's great and highly recommended.

My deepest gratitude to the Ritz-HMB. My 6-day mini vacation fell apart. My 46th birthday and 13th anniversary humbled by out of control allergies, I had considered flying home early to Texas but thought we'd give the Ritz Carlton a shot. The room and grounds were beautiful. The view from the Oceanside Guesthouse amazed, the fire pit warmed, and the spa services revived. Each and every Ritz employee was gracious and fully committed to our happiness. I wholly thank Camila, Jazlyn, Maria, and the Chefs. To those whose names I forgot, I will learn them the next time we travel west. Thank you, Devin

This review is mainly for the Ritz-Carlton's Christmas buffet. I've been coming to the Ritz for their Christmas buffet now off and on for a few years. Every time is always enjoyable and a luxurious treat to be had. However, as of 2014 I feel that they've been making some adjustments that aren't the greatest. While I do believe the food selection and quality of the buffet has become better. The service and experience in the dinning area has greatly declined. It's as if they started spending more money on their chefs and less on their ambiance, which in itself is not all terrible. But for the price of the buffet, you'd hope the complete experience would be top notch. It seemed like there was limited staff and it was hard to get plates cleared, glasses filled, and tough to get a hold of anyone. The dining room felt kind of over crowded and industrial. And overall the dining experience was a bit downgraded. But onto the food, which was outstanding as always and truly beautiful. The flavors were diverse and very good. It was amazing that so many little plates of things and options were all over the place. And the dessert table was awe inspiring with tons of sweets to try in all shapes and sizes. I just hope next year they're able to provide a more well rounded dining experience.

This review is primarily for the Conservatory Bar and Lounge as well as the general outdoor bar. I try to stop here every time I am driving up the coast as the Ritz has some of the best views, excellent cocktails and bar snack around. On a sunny day with views of the ocean, the 18th hole of the golf course along the cliff edge and myriad of people wandering around its tough to beat. Valet is $10 if you pay on your bill and can get backed up on a nice day. Drinks aren't cheap either but they are what you would expect. They do have some excellent drinks, try the High Tide, and their food inside is quite good. Sitting outside is the pace to be however and even in the cold they have large fire pits to sit around. Most weekends in the summer you can see them setting up for a wedding. I highly recommend stopping here if you get the chance.

I found it....the twin of Hotel du cap Eden Roc / Antibes - France. The Ritz Carlton has the same combination of unique location surrounded by stunning landscape. Questions about the quality, the staff, the service, the menus and so on are superfluous: Everything is excellent - The only mistake is that time is sometimes much to short :-)
