The world celebrated Malala Day this week and in honour of this, we would like to take a moment to thank you for all the children you have indirectly supported by investing and believing in their parents’ businesses. This PICTURE OF THE WEEK was taken from our last trip to Cambodia where Lendwithcare lenders have supported 1,931 entrepreneurs so far.

Thank you for your support.
Please share to help us keep making a difference, generation after generation www.lendwithcare.org

With more than 50 loans under his belt, Robert is not only our LENDER OF THE WEEK but also supporter of the week since he is also one of our fab Lendwithcare Angels. Thank you for supporting the business hopes and dreams of Lendwithcare entrepreneurs Robert and for enabling Lendwithcare to continue making this possible!

“Having led a comfortable life, during a period of good fortune in UK, having the time and some money to offer others an opportunity, through an organisation whose motives I respect, I welcome the chance.”

PICTURE OF THE WEEK is a photograph of Misimilla Nasona, nurse at the CARE-run health centre in south Sudan.

Misimilla delivers around 60 babies a month – that compares to around 30 babies a year by a midwife in the UK. “I see anaemic mothers…they don’t eat, they’re sick and they’ve come very far from home where there are no health facilities.”

With a baby on the way, CARE midwife Misimilla Nasona rushes around an almost bare delivery room, sterilizing the simplest of tools. And after a few quivers and a final scream, the baby is delivered safely into Misimilla’s hands. He is cleaned and wrapped up in the yellow flowered sheet that the family has brought.

But in one of the poorest countries in the world, this isn’t always the case.

“This is the work, the hard work,” says Misimilla.
“If I can, I must save lives, and I feel good doing it.”

Help CARE international UK to train more midwives like Misimilla and right now your donation will be doubled by the UK Government.

Hi lenders! These wonderful women have been on the Lendwithcare website since April and need your help to reach their loan goals. If you have a bit of credit in your account, please consider helping them.
Like every end of month, we are going to send all the funds we have raised to our local partners.
Please help us to fund these three loans before the cut off tomorrow 28th.
Thank you.

LENDER OF THE WEEK is Dan who also aspires to become an entrepreneur. We wish you good luck in your future business Dan!

“Like the hardworking recipients of these loans, I too have ambitions to start a small business in the future. I love knowing that the loan of modest sum of money, on my part, can make a very real difference to the life of someone in less favourable circumstances, helping them to better themselves the same way I hope to better myself - through hard work and with dignity.”

Lender since 2011, Justyn Leonard is this week's LENDER OF THE WEEK. We love his very humble statement: “I realise how fortunate I am, while I often think about the things I would like, I know that these are things that in truth, are more wants than needs. In the current world, everyday it seems like there are requests from charities to give money and it’s not always clear where that money will go. I'm lucky enough that what is a small amount for me is something that can make a huge difference to someone else who hasn't had the same opportunities as I do.”
