I've been to Germany, was not impressed with this place. Wienerschnitzel was a bit dry and was ok on it's own. But the mushroom "gravy" was orangish brownish greesy mess poured over the ENTIRE plate with a couple of scraps of canned mushrooms. If you google Wienerschnitzel with mushroom gravy, you'll see appetizing plates. When I saw this plate, I could see Chef Ramsey looking horrified and asking what all the grease was. The Bratkartoffeln was fine, but it had the grease poured on it as well. My husband had the bratwurst and he liked it, but the serving size was too small. My meal was overpriced for it's size as well. My husband ordered a sweet tea and the waitress immediately told us that everyone hates their tea. My husband only drinks tea, so got that, and said it just didn't taste sweet at all. Service was EXTREMELY slow. We came in at noon during the week, NOONE there and it took about 10-15 minutes to get a fried cheese appetizer (they don't bread it on their own, it's premade, they will tell you). It was good, but for a lunch break, it took too long. Lunch took another 15+ minutes to get to us. We paid $28+ plus tip and left hungry. The outside of the restaurant looks like a deli or something, not like a nice sit down. It needs maybe a nice German painting on the windows (maybe to mimic a German building).

I was extremely disappointed when we went here. Being German and growing up in Germany I expected so much more from a German restaurant. I ordered the Jaeger Schnitzel and it was not good at all. The mushroom sauce had 3 mushrooms, and the sauce was almost soupy, the red cabbage tasted like vinegar, and the spaetzel were dry. My daughter (who is 5) ordered chicken nuggets and they were dinosaur shaped, just like the ones I buy in the grocery store. My husband ordered a pizza that was completely layered with grease and tasted like cardboard. The Spetzi didn't taste like it was supposed to either. It makes me sad since it's the only German restaurant in the area and for the food quality the price was outrageous and the staff was rude. The only reason I'm giving one star is because I have to to write a review.

I'm so sad that this once excellent German restaurant is no longer what it once was. Having lived in Germany for a long time, this used to be as authentic as you could get in JAX. Something happened and the food is no longer as good as it was. Schnitzels are no longer as tasty, the bratkartoffeln no longer as crispy, etc. Really too bad because this place was truely outstanding at one time.

Visited on a Sunday. Service was poor. The server was clueless. Out of many products, beers and desserts. Food was burnt as like in other reviews. Poor quality and over cooked on everything. Microwaved to death basically. I am in the restaurant business. Dont advertise fresh food when it frozen and microwaved or precooked and overheated I was really looking forward to some home country atmosphere and food. I was very disappointed.

The service was great but the food wasn't. The Frech onion soup had no taste, the croutons were made from lightly toasted white bread. The schnitzel with onion was fried lightly with oil that made the schnitzel almost slide off the plate. The salad dressing was watered down with no taste. The waitress kept on apologizing for the food but it didn't help matters. This was our 52nd anniversary and it will be another 52 ys. before we're back
