First, the way the facility treated my dog was great! She was well cared for in an emergency. Their customer service was worse. I was never told about the $25 fee for the temperment test until the day of. I paid it but was not happy about a surprise fee - I searched the website and found nothing about a fee and was never told the multiple times I spoke to someone or when I booked online. I asked to drop off my dog one hour earlier (understanding that I would pay a fee for this). However, no one could accommodate this request. Instead, I paid double to drop off my dog on Friday night and pick up Sunday rather than Saturday to Sunday. While in their care, my dog had a medical emergency. My vet was closed due to it being Saturday and she was taken to VCA hospital. I was fine with all of this. I paid the VCA bill ($160) gladly knowing that my dog was okay. However, when my dog was picked up from K9 Cabana, I was surprised to find a $40 FEE for someone to leave the facility and travel with my dog to the VCA and sit with her. I searched their site far and wide and never found anything about such fee. The owner applied it. I was highly upset that I had to pay this additional fee - for someone who was already being paid by the facility. While I understand it took someone away from the facility for the hour and half she was at the is no different then when a worker calls out. I was also overcharged for her medicine that was given to her and never told instructions that the vet gave her that she needed it for an additional two days. A trip that should have cost be around $30 for the night stay for my dog turned into over $300. I gave the company the benefit of the doubt and emailed them my concerns when I returned home. I have yet to hear anything. It would have been nice to have been acknowledged. Great for dogs, horrible customer service.

I am so thankful to all the staff at k9Cabana for all their hardwork to ensure our Rocko (jack russell/chi mix) is tired out every time he comes home from Daycare. It's nice knowing we have the option to take him to play and excercise vs. being cooped up in the house while we are at work. The staff is very friendly and professional, we love it!

Reviewed several places in the MB area for my dogs. The employees here didn't seem very nice or even happy to be there. Places needs a facelift too. Decided to look elsewhere.

This review is not valid. Another boarding facility owner in the area contacted us shortly after this review was posted to say his facility received the same review. When an individual leaves a review, they should leave factual information, names and other specifics if they want their review to have any credibility.

Don't waste your time is right! The first reviewers who ranked this place highly must work there, because the service I received here was horrible. Only go here is you feel like having your time wasted, and then being over talked and practically yelled at by the so called manager if you have the audacity to complain about it. Oh yeah and then hung up on when you asked that they listen to what you are saying and stop interrupting you while speaking. Yes it was that bad! Tracy and Barbara were their names if I am not mistaken and they were two of the rudest people I have ever encountered.

This 'reviewer' was an 'out of towner' who called to inquire about boarding her dog during Bike Week. She called multiple times, different staff members answered her questions. Her dog didn't meet the requirements of our facility so she kept calling & harassing the staff. She has never seen the inside of our facility and who knows if she actually ever came to Myrtle Beach.

I called prior to see about boading my 10 month old sheepdog. I was going to the beach and was going to board her here. I asked several questions including the fact that she is not spayed. The girl at the front desk said that is not a problem but there would be an additional handling fee and to fill out the form online. I did fill out the form then got a message that they could not board her because she was not spayed.

This time of year is the busiest season for k9Cabana and probably every boarding facility in the country. We don't accept unspayed females close to 1 year of age, especially during peak season, for the main reason of the dog possibly going into their first heat. We also do not socialize unspayed females because of the chance of pregnancy. With it being such a busy time of year, we decided to turn the application away because we felt it wasn't fair to your baby or the rest of the dogs in our case, to have a dog in heat in our facility. Leaving a 1 star review because we followed policy is disconcerting.

My German Shepherd Dog, Koda, and I have been coming to K9 Cabana since they opened several years ago. It just keeps getting better - and better!! The changes made - such as re-flooring with 'sound-absorbing' vinyl flooring have been to benefit the dogs and the staff. The dogs 'lunches' are prepared individually - in case someone has a special need. There are couches aplenty for couch potatoes - and they are all covered in clean sheets. There's always a mop available for any sprinkles. I was in a bind last year and was so very thankful for the pick-up and delivery service!!! The staff are great - very experienced and many are long-term. You and your dog can't go wrong here.

Staff was friendly and very dedicated to ensuring a clean fun place for your pet. Our four-legged family member had just as much fun on vacation as the rest of our family. Every time we stopped by to visit the staff was busy cleaning and rotating the dogs. You could tell they loved working with dogs and were dedicated to meeting the needs of the individual dogs. The true test for me was returning with our dog after a visit to the beach and our dog was happy to go back in and continue playing with her new friends. It was a relief not to worry about our pet so we could relax and enjoy our vacation!!!!!!! THANK YOU K9 CABANA!
