I absolutely love coming to this bar, but I have to knock a star off because they drink exchange is only during happy hour now! THAT WAS THE BEST PART!!! The bartenders are fun and have such a great attitude. The music makes you want to dance and the DJ makes sure everyone is having a good time - whats not to love? I'm a fan of their moscow mules in the redneck mason jars they have - super cute touch...from what I understand now is they might be gone now....double whammy! Besides that, the place can be fun and the crowd is always a great mix. Definitely a favorite spot for me in Gaslamp!

Avoid this place!! Don't spend your money here. The door guys are loosers. Picture this.... It's a Tuesday night...nothing happening... For my friend's 21st birthday they told him his ID isn't valid till "business hours." Complete tools. I'll never spend money here.

Tipsy Crow is the place in downtown that everyone should go at least once. It's a low-cover place and drinks are reasonably priced. The main flow features board games and upper level contains a lounge area, the real fun is downstairs. In the basement, you get this dark, crowded area with music videos playing all around you. The DJs tend to be pretty good with the music selection, but like any club, it gets crowded and hot. Bartenders are nice and never had problems with their service.

Very very poorly managed. I arrived with a group of five friends after a birthday dinner. I looked at my watch and it was 1:22. I asked one of the security team at the door if we had enough time for one drink at the bar because I was sure last call was at 1:30. He was very friendly and said something like: oh sure you've still got 10 min to order. I spent 45$ on our 5 drinks after a 5 or 6 min wait trying to get service at the bar and before they even arrive the bouncers are saying we have 3 min to get out of the bar. I ran right back to the bar and pled my case to the same bartender. She assured me that they were just trying to get people moving. The long story-short is that they yanked my drink and 2 others drinks out of our hands at around 1:45. I told them I hadn't had anything to drink before that bar and that I wasn't trying to be difficult, but that I felt really taken advantage of. My group of friends all had the impression that they were getting close to physical violence with me. They started saying that San Diego has a zero tolerance law and trying to intimidate me by grabbing my arms. The bartender who told me not to worry would not come back over to plead my case to them. When we got outside I immediately ran into 2 other couples with very, very similar stories. This may be the worst treatment I've ever had in a bar in my life. Every complaint i made was prefaced with "i am sober and really not trying to be difficult but..." I wish I could do something other than review to help people avoid this awful environment. I have never had any bar workers touch me or grab my beer before in my life. The sign on the door and the staff immediately next to it and behind the bar led me to believe I could pay for and enjoy one beer last night

Used to come here very regularly. Recently came in and was a bit disappointed with everything from service to food. They still do the stock exchange happy hour which is fun and a good deal. Miss the happy hour on food. For a Friday felt fairly quiet as well.

we had an awesome server, but these fools had a dress code.... no beanies? funny for a place that advertises as a craft beer spot. didn't know you needed to look like a bro to drink over priced beer!!!!

Where drink prices fluctuate like the stock market. And just like with stocks, you want to time your purchase to buy low. Watch for the "Market Crash" where prices drop and you can stock up on drinks at "bargain" prices. Daily Happy Hour gets you 1/2 off food. Tip: Get 15% off if you show a plane ticket, train ticket, or proof of travel to your server or bartender.

The Tipsy Crow hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
