When it comes to the current uncertain #economic landscape one thing which is vital for any #business is ensuring your #employees are happy.
Loyal and engaged employees work for the company and #profits tend to be higher. Conversely, if employees are unhappy or feel undervalued, they are unmotivated and profits can suffer. Studies also show that an unhappy workforce has higher absence times, perform worse and resist change.
However, it’s not as easy as just saying “let’s make sure we have a happy workforce then”. How do you go about ensuring your employees feel valued, engaged and motivated?

Did you know, high performing companies #coach between 15 and 20% more than organisations with low performing teams?

The claim comes in an article in the #Institute of #Sales and #Marketing #Management’s magazine Winning Edge and highlights a growing trend for employing the services of a #professional #coach to help with staff retention and other aspects of #business #growth. But does coaching really work for B2B sales?

Using a #professional #business #coach is one option companies suffering from a high #staff #turnover should be considering.

While 70% of managers believe #employees leave a company because of pay-related reasons, according to strategic planning consultant Leigh Branham, 88% of people leave for seven main reasons:

1. Employees feel the job or workplace is not what they expected.
2. There is a mismatch between the job and person.
3. There is too little coaching and feedback.
4. There are too few growth and advancement opportunities.
5. Employees feel devalued and unrecognised.
6. Employees feel stress from overwork and have a work/life imbalance.
7. There is a loss of trust and confidence in senior leaders.

As we have discussed before – the most effective way of ensuring your #business succeeds is to have a motivated staff.

If your #sales team is not motivated and empowered to produce superior results then it’s simple, they won’t. But finding a method to develop a #culture which encourages and rewards the best performance can be a struggle to find the balance between healthy competition and a cutthroat, negative atmosphere.
All is not lost though. There are common characteristics shared by companies which manage to have a high sales culture but still have motivated and committed staff working with, not against, each other.

Our latest blog looks at the top six traits you can emphasise, implement and monitor as part of your sales management strategy: Read more: http://bit.ly/1Qvjqc5

At some point in their career, chances are a teacher will undergo a program of mentoring.

This may arise during their time as a PGCE student, as a newly qualified teacher (NQT) or after a promotion within the education system.

However, not many working within the education field can say they have been “coached” and most would not be able to offer a comparison between the two things or say what makes them different. Our latest blog looks at the differences: http://bit.ly/1O0aICj
