I stayed at The Captain Quarters this past week end for spring break with the family , I was disappointed with the room, the furniture throughout the entire suite is outdated and dull. The carpet need shampooing or to be replaced . The balcony view was not bad(which I think is the best part of the suite). The children enjoy the amenities, I don't think I will be staying there again if upgrade are not made. Customer service and housekeeping was very good for that I will give two stars .

The Captain's Quarters is a resort. I love all of the bars and restaurant areas here. The 9th floor restaurant is a breakfast buffet. The "Level Six" is a fun bar with an arcade and a bowling alley. Lines are long on the weekend though. Food orders stop at 10 I think. There is a bar next to the pools that opens at 11am. They have a hotdog stand next to it. They can do poolside pizza orders there. You also get 10% off at the Loko Gecko next door. They have lots of pools and some hot tubs. They are also beachfront. Overall, I would highly recommend this resort. If you have a rainy day on your vacation then you don't even have to go anywhere to have fun or swim.

Great looking resort on the outside and the main lobby is nice. The hallways make you feel like you're in a prison and some of the housekeeping staff can be less than friendly. The rooms are good and the multiple pools are convenient! Easy access to the beach and lots of places to eat within walking distance. Plus the resort has discounts for its guests. I'd come back.

Overall a nice place to stay. The hotel is right on the beach, so there is very easy access to the beach. There are 3 large pools that all go from 2.5'-4.5' deep. The largest pool is indoors, and is heated. Also inside is the lazy river, 2 hot-tubs, and 2 kiddie pools. Outside are the other 2 large pools, one heated and one not (between 12-5 the unheated pool is at around 70 degrees on a sunny day), a hot-tub, and a kids play pool with water cannons and waterfalls. The pools are all kept very clean. The suite we stayed in was two rooms, 3 beds. It included a full kitchen (oven, microwave, full-size fridge, granite countertops and recessed sink, as well as plates and silverware for 5), a main room with 2 full sized beds, a master room with Queen sized bed and attached bath, and another bathroom off the kitchen. The suite also had 2 balconies with a great view of the ocean. However the rooms seem kind of thrown together. The carpet doesn't line up around the edges of the wall. There were lightbulbs missing from a couple lamps, broken switches and drawers that pulled off the tracks. As for service, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, but housekeeping only stopped by once in the 3 days we stayed. Drinks at the bar in the hotel were expensive, but that's expected. However, right next door is Loco Gecko bar and grill which is owned by the hotel. You get a nice discount there if you're a hotel guest, and even without the discount you get $5 drafts and $6 margaritas to give you an idea. I'd recommend this hotel to just about anybody.

If I could put no stars I would. Worst experience I ever had in myrtle beach. Stayed at the ocean inn building and was told it was ocean side view which it clearly was not . Walls were paper thin and you hear absolutely everything. Had to call security twice due to noise from the next room. Still didn't solve a thing and got no sleep. Room was broken down. Beds were hard and caved in on one side. Bathtub drain when we showered was awful and water covered our feet in the shower. Staff was horrible. When we checked out they asked how our stay was,of course we said terrible and as we walked away the staff turned to one another and said "that's what you get for going with a cheaper room". Could not believe my ears! Pools were so small and overcrowded. Beyond the worst place to stay! Stay far away!

We just left there today. We stayed for 4 days. The room wasnt that great. The bathroom was super small. When you opened the bathroom door, it came within an inch of hitting the toilet. Housekeeping was horrible. My 5 year old daughter left $3 on the table and the maid stole it monday. She also stole the wife's gillette fusion proglide razor. When we talked to a manager, she found out who had went in our room, she confronted the maid. She claimed she thought the $3 was a tip since it was just setting on the table. They have clearly marked envelopes in the room for tips. And she said she threw away the razor cuz she thought it was a disposable. The molding strip in the floor was coming up off the floor. Definitely will not be stayinf here again.

We vacationed and stayed at Captains Quarter's this past weekend. Overall the hotel is nice and centrally located. The beach view is priceless. The price was right and the staff was very helpful. The bathroom was updated..small but nicely done. The floors were clean and it had a flat screen tv. It was cozy and they did make nice use of the space. The Bowling alley was very fun..small but fun. The cons: even though the room was clean..it had its quirks..the cabinet doors were off (as in they didn't close properly), the eye on the stove wasnt plugged in properly(maintenance fixed this super fast), the table wasnt level (made having a drink on it annoying), the fridge would slide out when you tried to open it (watch your toes). The heated pools were lukewarm at best and the hot tubs were not hot 👀. But...hey the beach is steps away so...pool scmool..lol. If you stay here..it's worth the money..quirks included..we only stayed in the room long enough to sleep, bathe, dress and eat.

Stayed in an angled suite this past week. At first I was a bit worried due to some of the cleanliness reviews, but was pleased when we arrived to find a pretty clean room. The room wasn't perfect; there was a shade missing, some of the kitchen drawers weren't properly on their tracks, and the was some chips taken off of the headboard for the king bed. These little problems did not interfere with our stay though. The bathroom seemed to be newly updated and was very clean, with a nice shower head. I wish the kitchen was as updated as the bathroom. The appliances were a little outdated but for a short stay it wasn't an issue. The pool area is very nice with sand all around and lounge chairs, with palm trees offering some shade. This was a great alternative to staying down on the beach the whole day, especially because the outdoor bar was close by along with hot tubs, indoor pool, and lazy river. Bowling ally and arcade was cool, don't spend too much on the arcade though. There aren't a lot of games so it's really only worth playing them for 20 minutes. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I got a discounted rate because of the off season, and probably wouldn't pay a large sum of money for a vacation here, but it was what I expected for the discounted cost.
