Will never return again! Not only did we drive 14 hours to get here, but one of the amenities we picked this hotel for were not working, the room needed alot of updates, from rusted shower heads, to paint peeling off the walls, to a dirty toilet. They did compensate us for the amenities being broken, but the cleanliness of the entire hotel was disappointing. I watched their staff clean the outdoor hot tub and he literally put the cleaning tool in and swirled a couple of timeseconds and took it out..you could still see the dirt in the bottomed of the hot tub and I was a couple floors up. When we booked our hotel the representative on the phone explained about purchasing the breakfast tickets for the buffet in the hotel ahead of time, in which we did...but they failed to tell us it was for 1 day, not the entire stay, and honestly the breakfast buffet was def. Not worth what we paid! The bowling alley on the 6th floor is very run down and their so called " bar" only makes some of the drinks advertised in their menu during certain seasons. Now onto the "resteraunt" on the 9th floor ...dont bother it's only open for the breakfast buffet. I definitely see why this place has 3 stars, it's probably only worth 2 stars

I love this resort! The view is amazing and the service is excellent! You get what you pay for then some! The rooms are not up to date but they aren't so outdated where it makes you feel like everything isn't clean! The room I had came with a full kitchen and dishes! Which really shocked me! The beds are comfy and the sheets and everything else was clean! I saw no bugs and we had no issues! The only bad review I would give this place is the restaurant one the top floor is not worth what you pay for! Its a really small buffet and by small I mean they only offer eggs, biscuits, gravy, bacon, and a waffle maker. Its great if you just want to eat with a view of the ocean but there are many places that offer it for a much cheaper price!

We stayed there last October. I have been going to Myrtle Beach for almost 40 years. This hotel is disgusting! Our first full day, our room was somehow overlooked on the cleaning. Nothing had been touched. We called the office and finally we got them to give us clean towels and take out the trash. It was some grouchy maintenance guy who brought them up, the cleaning ladies were gone for the day. How does that happen? The next day and for the rest of our stay, the cleaning ladies were RUDE and barely touched a thing. The carpet turned your feet black. My 9 month old would crawl around and her knees and hands were black! That was awful! There is so much more to complain about but I don't have the time. I agree with most of the things that the bad reviews complained about. And for some of the 5 and 4 star ratings, I do not believe you. You must know the cleaning ladies or other staff and they asked you review positively. Swan towel in the bathroom, hahaha, you were talking about Captain Quarters right? You were lucky to get a towel. Hahaha. Someone had even posted that they got "some kind if discount" because they had to go to the front desk to ask for towels. Total BS! The staff and owner, yes I spoke with a representative for the owner, truly do not care about the customer! I guess they are the real winners though. Millions of people visit Myrtle Beach every year and the unknowing will stay at this resort and the owners will continue to get rich regardless of what the reviews say. If just one person reads this review and decides not to stay, I am happy. It is not a good place to stay! Look elsewhere. Oh, one more thing, I hadn't seen this in the bad reviews. The port-a- potty looking restrooms by the indoor pools. Talk about disgusting! It is the size of a tiny closet, reeks of cigarette smoke and is so dirty! There was a dirty water ring in the commode which was there the entire week, even though the cleaning ladies initials were on the cleaning paper in the bathroom along with the date and time in which it was checked and or "cleaned". Nothing but the lobby in this entire hotel was clean. The bad reviews don't lie only the excellent ones do.

Were do I begin with our stay this past weekend, 13th and 14th came home on Sunday. Anyways, I wish I read the reviews before even going with this place, boy they weren't lying! Way to much money for a crappie room. Who would ever cook in one of those places. Never will I recommend this place. NEVER again will I stay at this place. Straight RIP OFF!!!! It doesn't cost much to remodel after you took about $400 for one of those rooms. When they say OLD building, its truly OLD! Read your tenants reviews and listen to them, I know you don't want a bad name for your rooms. The only good thing I can say is that the entertainment was a lot better than the rooms. Better Hotel Finding Next Time.

Wished I could give this place a ZERO rating!! This was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in!! The rooms didn't look like what was on their website we paid over 105$ a night for a ocean front room that was supposed to sleep 7 people... the beds were a full size when it was supposed to be a queen and there wasn't even a pull out couch that we were told that would be in the rooms.. the carpet smelled awful!!! We were promised free bowling and free breakfast and didn't even get none of that!!! Bought our aquarium tickets at the hotel they left 2 out in the envelope didn't realize to check it drove to the aquarium and was missing 2 called back to the hotel and was told to have the aquarium call to the hotel about the tickets and the aquarium told us they couldn't do that so went back to the hotel and they only gave us one ticket and is wasn't even a combo ticket that we had purchased.. complained and all got was a sorry... didn't try to fix the problem.. when we got ready to check out they told us we could of changed hotels did us no good finding out that info on the last day!!! Worse mistake ever for picking this hotel!!!!

If I have to rate it I guess one star is what they will get. This place is awful!!!!!! Outdated rooms, Black mold, and a broken toilet was just a few things we dealt with, and when I told the staff they had nothing to say just brushed it off, but then again Im sure if they had to correct everyones rooms who had a problem they would be shut down! NEVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY HERE! My kids are severely allergic to mold and with black mold an issue and this place could care less well it makes me furious.

BED BUG WARNING: The week after July 4th my son, daughter in law and their two small children and myself stayed at this hotel for six nights. Three months later we both have discovered bed bugs at both house. I know that this is where they came from. We all stayed in the same room. There was no place to lay your suitcases so we had to either set them on the floor or on the bed. BAD MISTAKE. We are currently having to spend several thousands of dollars to get rid of these bugs in our house. I will never stay at this hotel again. And for any other hotel I will tear it apart the next time, if I ever stay at another one. I have been told my our pest control inspector that Myrtle Beach and Pigon Forge is the worlds worst place for bed bugs. It is very nerve racking and wouldn't wish these bed bugs on any one. If you ever stay here you better make sure you check the mattress and the back of the headboards. I was told that if the headboard is nailed to the wall then the bed bugs are usually on the back of it also. So beware.

This place needs better management. My room had ants!!! Bought donuts for breakfast left some in their container to go out came back and ants were all over them. Bought a soda out of the HOTEL'S vending machine, it expired in April. Front desk said to call corporate. Went to take advantage of the free bowling game you get & we had to be moved 3 times to get an alley that works. Never again will I ever stay here and any person inquiring I will tell not to stay here. Pick somewhere more else. This place is definitely not worth staying at. I posted a picture of the ants on here as well.
