I stayed at The Captain Quarters this past week end for spring break with the family , I was disappointed with the room, the furniture throughout the entire suite is outdated and dull. The carpet need shampooing or to be replaced . The balcony view was not bad(which I think is the best part of the suite). The children enjoy the amenities, I don't think I will be staying there again if upgrade are not made. Customer service and housekeeping was very good for that I will give two stars .

I stayed at Captain Quarters resort last weekend and my experience was horrible. We paid 191.00 for one night and the rooms were very old looking and smelled horrible.I couldn't believe my eyes. The beds were hard and small. The stove had no numbers on the knobs so it burned our pizza. No I repeat NO WIFI ...Dont get a room in the north building outside of the main resort the only view you will have is to a pool if your on the lower level. Our tub wouldn't drain so after the first shower we called maintenance and they worked on getting the tub drained for 2 hours still no luck.I was finally fed up and asked for a refund that ruined my whole vacation. The supervisor Michael did refund my money without a hassel but he only gave me twenty minutes to pack up with two kids a infant and a three year old after a long day at the beach and after driving five hours to get there .We were still wet from the beach and couldnt take a shower I thought he will at least give me an hour since I was very patient to let maintenance work on the tub for 2 hours. To be able to get a full refund I was so upset I ended up driving five hours back to atlanta that night I will never return. Please go somewhere else.

It was sorta okay. but my friends mom took us here and they got our room wrong and we had to stay in the same room for 1 day the room was very small and the couch was itchy. they finally changed our room to one near the top floor you could hear the bowling balls hit the ground and kinda got annoying the glass cups were dirty and our dish washing soap was already used.on the good side the bowling alley was really cool along with the arcade the slushies were tasty but often out of order :)

I was at Captain's Quarters Resort several years ago and had a wonderful time. The rooms were dated, but people were great and my kids loved the activities, so I bought a week's stay this year expecting the same. At the time of my reservation, I asked if the rooms were remodeled and requested a room that was remodeled. When I arrived, I was greatly disappointed, but my 3sons and nephew were excited. The only thing new in the room were flatscreen tvs. but thankfully the suite was clean. the toilet didn't work properly and you had to manually left the handle in order to flush toilet..1 adult & 4 teenager...yes frustrating...my nephew almost fell through the sofabed because a latch was missing at the foot of the bed..yes frustrating...every single day we went swimming, hot tub, lazy river...not one (1) single towel available any of the days..had to send children to front desk to get towels...yes frustrating..called desk for minor things missing in suite..1 hr..2hr..called again..no one answers. This was vacation for my children, and they were happy, but I was beginning to get frustrated...it wasn't like this my first visit..what happened? I decided to cook..turned on the kitchen light...nothing happened. went to the door to turn on light..nothing happened..flick the switch again nothing happened, called front desk. maintenance came 45 min later, but mysteriously the light came on, I told him what happened, then the light in frig went out, he replaced and left..next day toilet again running...I was ready to look at going to another hotel but my children wanted to stay..great bowling alley..but I was frustrated because it seemed as though nothing was done to improve the quality of this resort...the room was so worned. I had a problem with the kitchen light again, so i called the front desk, maintenance came, and again the light finally came on after numerous times of flicking the switch up and down. I explained to him that there was either a short or bad light because of how the light came on..To my shock he basically chastised me on how I turned the light off and on could cause the problem, because it never did that before. i again explained I had to call the previous night and there is a problem with the light. We went back and forth until I said I'm finished, there is a problem but its on now..thank you. Of course the next day I went to turn on the kitchen light, it didn't work so I used the bathroom light...I had enough and decided I would not come back again. I told my sons we would try another resort the next time. I travel the majority of the year for business and pleasure, making recommendations to clients, I've sent numerous families to this resort and some have made small complaints but I didn't think it was major, but now I understand their frustration..I have made it known...and this resort is less than a 3 star...and unfortunately I have not heard from them yet...customer service is critical..so we will see. On a positive note..housekeeping was exceptional!

Overall a nice place to stay. The hotel is right on the beach, so there is very easy access to the beach. There are 3 large pools that all go from 2.5'-4.5' deep. The largest pool is indoors, and is heated. Also inside is the lazy river, 2 hot-tubs, and 2 kiddie pools. Outside are the other 2 large pools, one heated and one not (between 12-5 the unheated pool is at around 70 degrees on a sunny day), a hot-tub, and a kids play pool with water cannons and waterfalls. The pools are all kept very clean. The suite we stayed in was two rooms, 3 beds. It included a full kitchen (oven, microwave, full-size fridge, granite countertops and recessed sink, as well as plates and silverware for 5), a main room with 2 full sized beds, a master room with Queen sized bed and attached bath, and another bathroom off the kitchen. The suite also had 2 balconies with a great view of the ocean. However the rooms seem kind of thrown together. The carpet doesn't line up around the edges of the wall. There were lightbulbs missing from a couple lamps, broken switches and drawers that pulled off the tracks. As for service, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, but housekeeping only stopped by once in the 3 days we stayed. Drinks at the bar in the hotel were expensive, but that's expected. However, right next door is Loco Gecko bar and grill which is owned by the hotel. You get a nice discount there if you're a hotel guest, and even without the discount you get $5 drafts and $6 margaritas to give you an idea. I'd recommend this hotel to just about anybody.

Stayed in an angled suite this past week. At first I was a bit worried due to some of the cleanliness reviews, but was pleased when we arrived to find a pretty clean room. The room wasn't perfect; there was a shade missing, some of the kitchen drawers weren't properly on their tracks, and the was some chips taken off of the headboard for the king bed. These little problems did not interfere with our stay though. The bathroom seemed to be newly updated and was very clean, with a nice shower head. I wish the kitchen was as updated as the bathroom. The appliances were a little outdated but for a short stay it wasn't an issue. The pool area is very nice with sand all around and lounge chairs, with palm trees offering some shade. This was a great alternative to staying down on the beach the whole day, especially because the outdoor bar was close by along with hot tubs, indoor pool, and lazy river. Bowling ally and arcade was cool, don't spend too much on the arcade though. There aren't a lot of games so it's really only worth playing them for 20 minutes. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I got a discounted rate because of the off season, and probably wouldn't pay a large sum of money for a vacation here, but it was what I expected for the discounted cost.

The living quarters are not quite as they appear on the website. All of the amenities are out of date and in need of repair and upgrade. One person in my party has bed nugs from the unclean mattress, even after spraying Lysol all over. Also my feet were nasty and black after walking around in the floor and carpet of the room. If this hotel was deep cleaned and u graded this would be a lovely stay Out of all of the cons, I actually really enjoyed the customer service focus that Jaylin presented consistently at the front desk. If the cleanliness standards can be at the same level of focus as guest service Captain Quarters would be one of our family favorite places to visit!

I had reservations for a two room king efficiency room. When I check in I was put in a junior suite and was told that you all did renovations and that you DO NOT contact people to let them know there reservation is different. I personally think that is very unprofessional of a business to do. Especially if someone is paying you money. I then had to complain about missing my dinner reservations because of it. We then found fake fingernails in our bed sheets when we pulled the covers back. The manager personally told me housekeeping would be right up at 9:30 p.m. I finally saw them at 12:05 a.m. after I had to go back down to the front desk to ask. We also had to go down and get our own towels, change our own sheets, and get more pillows. The rooms and whole place look nothing like the pictures on the website. That needs to be updated to the correct crappy place that it is. This place was disgusting as far as cleanliness. I will never stay here again nor will I recommend anyone to stay here. A friend of mine ended up checking out because there was sewage coming through her cealing and blood stains on the wall in her room. That was just awful. And a lot of people smoking weed and I am there with my kids. Just a bad place to be.
