Wow. That's a compelling image. Any thoughts on what they're saying about the World Cup ?

YouTube Subscribers Drives Up Engagement 20 Times Higher then Facebook

A Facebook study gave some shocking news when analysis showed that engagement for brands has steadily declined, according to Brendan Gahan, who is an online video advertising veteran.  Engagement rates on Facebook has weakened compared to YouTube, sizing it up to the number of posts, comments, community sizes, and states that “Subscribe” is the new “Like”.

Companies have saturated themselves into social media platforms with great results.  But studies that compare Facebook over YouTube reflect the difference between community’s verses subscribers that are making a substantial increase for the YouTube giant, and their subscribers being the larger of the two for engagement.  This downward trend for Facebook has left many brands frustrated with the platform now reevaluating their investment and looking for alternatives.

For the first time in the history of television, Internet ad revenue has surpassed broadcast media and YouTube is making an aggressive move towards their position to be at the top of this to bring in large profits.  This doesn’t mean that Facebook is soon to be belly up‒ as they have greater purchase commitment that other platforms do not.  It just means that per fan/subscriber, Facebook has total overall engagement while YouTube has a higher rate of engagement by percent’s‒ in fact, 20 % more engagement.

Even though these two giants have about the same number of monthly active users, it shows that YouTube has more engagement for top brands.  And while online video programming is huge, advertising dollars are growing to massive amounts each month as more than 187 million Americans watch this type of programming.
With video ad spending expected to reach over $8 billion by 2016, no wonder so many brands are moving over to YouTube’s platform.  Maybe this is time to start considering where to promote your brand.
