Awesome
Reaching speeds of up to 650mph in vacuum propelled pods - might take some getting used to! :-)

Join me for a once-in-a-lifetime 20-22 day photography tour to Antarctica, November 2019. November is the beginning of the breeding season when the elephant seals are fighting and penguins are building their nests. It's also the time of the year when upwellings in the Antarctic Ocean bring food to the surface for whales. Seabirds abound and icebergs have their crisp and clean lines. We'll explore the Falkland Islands, South Georgia, the Shetlands, and the Antarctic Peninsula in a ship with no more than 130 passengers. November is also the start of the tourist season, so the landscape is pristine from winter and not yet trampled by the feet of thousands. Early deposits will ensure your space for a trip that books very quickly. Please go here for more information and don't hesitate to contact me. http://www.blueplanetphoto.com/dir/workshops/antarctica-2019.html

Join me for 2 workshops in August related to the sun and the total eclipse. First is Camera Obscura on Aug 5 where we'll learn about the origins of photography and make at least 2 devices for safely viewing the eclipse (or for viewing the sun and other scenes at any time of year). Next is the Weekend of the Sun, Aug 19-21 in the historic mining town of Idaho City, within the zone of totality. We'll spend the weekend learning about and making cyanotype prints, one of the earliest photographic processes that uses the power of the sun (no darkroom required). We'll photograph in the surrounding area and on Monday go to a location at the center of the totality path to view and photograph the eclipse (and also the effects of the eclipse - light, reflections, pinhole effects, etc.). Our accommodation in Idaho City is a recently-restored historic home.

Space is very limited for the Aug 19-21 workshop. Reserve your space today.

A change of dates for my March Iceland workshop - March 5 - 16. Airfare is at an all time low. SEA - KEF <$500, BOS - KEF <$400, JFK - KEF <$600 and those seats are going very fast. The best time for northern lights and ice caves! Register here today: https://www.blueplanetphoto.com/dir/workshops/iceland-twilight-march-2017.html

There only 3 spots remaining for my Feb 9 - 14 photo workshop in the rolling hills of the Palouse of east central Washington. This will be 4 full days of photography, arriving in Colfax, Washington in the afternoon of the 9th and departing the morning of the 14th. Everybody goes in spring and summer, but winter offers its own special charm. More details and to register here: https://www.blueplanetphoto.com/workshops/workshops.html
