Local place with bustling atmosphere. Halibut was great. Drinks are very reasonably priced.

I remember going here about 4 years ago and being impressed that they were playing the slackers. I wanted to love it here. And there is a lot to love. I love how unassuming it looks on the outside. I love the beer list (including Ithaca Flower Power IPA, one of my all time favorite beers). I love the fact that you can get a pretty solid cocktail for under $10 (this place isn't cheap but it isn't overpriced... at least on cocktails). Unfortunately, there's a lot I was not impressed with. Once again the number of vegetarian options was limited, in this case there was not one. Seriously? Cambridge is one of the most granola eating, tie-die wearing, birkenstock toting, hippie-dippy, left wing liberal cities in America. Where's the (fake) beef!? The waitress informed me they could keep the bacon out of the $18 mac and cheese, but that was a little too rich for my blood. She also mentioned that she could see about working out something with the kitchen, major bonus points for our wonderful waitress on this, gotta give her credit for trying. I ended up opting for an appetizer of fried tofu and soba noodles, with a side of yucca and spicy aoili. Both were good, but nothing to write home about (and so I will cease there). My dad got the heirloom tomato salad ajd ts notable that it was was a step up from Henrietta's Table, but not as good as the ones I get at home. Disappointing. Finally, its loud. I can deal with this but its a little annoying to have to yell throughout the meal, and don't bring anyone whose hard of hearing. Come to Green Street for the beer, cocktails and maybe some muchies, but I can't reccomend it for a full meal.

Expansive and excellent cocktail menu. Small beer section but you come here for the cocktails. Excellent and affordable food too. Great $12 burger (one of the best in the metro area) and amazing duck dish too! Overall it has a fun mid 20s - early 30s vibe.

The food menu is a bit limited, but their secret drink list? It's the Narnia of drink lists. Great atmosphere and knowledgeable servers. Highly recommend.

Great local spot that has solid food offerings and an expansive cocktail menu. Best of all, their cocktail prices are stuck back in 2004 with the highest price being $8.50 (well, recently raised to $9 I believe). Still a great deal when others are charging $10-13 for drinks. Their bar staff is super knowledgeable and you can order any number of cocktails not on menu and they won't bat an eye. It can get a little jammed because it's popular, but they're great about making sure everyone gets service even when crowded. Definitely one of the very best cocktail bars in the Cambridge/Boston area.

I've been to Green Street and sat at the bar many times, but just recently went in for dinner. I think the atmosphere here is great. It's busy and lively, but not too crazy. They have good, reasonably priced cocktails and a variety of unique beers. I recommend coming on Wednesday when they have the taco menu available. The place was packed after work despite the pouring rain so it seems there are many other fans of Taco Wednesday. I tried the fried pumpkin taco and a fish taco - both were good. The star of the meal though was a kale salad.

Great drinks. Really, really great drinks. Fantastic atmosphere. Great service. Delicious food. Go in with a friend or a date, order the cheese platter and an app, have some reasonably priced cocktails. Stay there all night. You really can't go wrong. They are even busy in the middle of the week. Beer Advocate hosts Taco Nights here, too. it's just one of the reasons -- along with Brick & Mortar, Rendezvous and Central Kitchen that Central Square has some really great gems.
