The rules regarding intermediaries have changed quite a bit and here we try to clear a few issues that often arise.

"Since *April 2015, not knowing the regulations from different countries may cause even more conflicts. Mastering all sets of regulations from different countries is quite a task and lack of knowledge is sure to cause problems.
The Clubs and the Players are in an even more precarious position and should be educated to have a general understanding of the regulations."*

Training with weights is great for improving your endurance and strength but there are a lot of things you should consider first before diving in. Check out our post to find out more!

"Not knowing your repetition maximum (RM) and training in a gym is like taking wrong medications when you are ill. RM indicates the heaviest weight you can lift with maximum effort in a single repetition. It is a test that helps you set your training weights for developing muscle strength, power or endurance."

Here are some points to consider when you're thinking of getting an agent to help you in your career.

Bad training can cause a lot of damage so make sure your hard work is not fot nothing.

"If you train slowly you will become a slower player. So yes, it’s true that when you train to get faster, you should perform football specific movements with a football-specific speed. But adding too much speed too soon to your training regime is not a good thing. Why not? A high-speed training demands your whole body and mind and you are not training to get yourself hurt. Adding too much stress on your body too soon will stop your optimal progress. Being tired doesn’t mean you are getting better."

Recovery is one of the most important aspects in training so we get a bit more technical in explaining what you need to watch out for.

"The first hour after playing football is the most efficient in absorbing the needed carbohydrates. The ratio between carbohydrates and proteins should be 4:1. The human body needs 24-36 hours to restore its glycogen reserve. And don’t forget that your body also needs a higher rate of vitamins and minerals when you are training hard."

"A good night’s sleep is as essential as being fit and eating healthy food. Sleep deprivation causes a deep impact on your energy levels and long-term health. The same rule goes for healthy food as it does for sleep: athletes need more of it. Can you guess what one of the best athletes in the world, Usain Bolt, considers being the most important part of his training routine? That’s correct – sleep."

"Before the shot is taken, goalkeepers need to properly prepare . So they should stand on both legs, just before the shot is fired at their goal. Then, if the shot is for example flying to the goalkeeper’s right side, they move their right leg to the right, a little bit in front of their bodies, towards the direction of the ball flight."
