We love counting our blessings (calories, not so much) and we truly do enjoy an abundance! There's much for us to appreciate here at Addison Homes -- business is thriving, thanks to our colleagues, trade partners, vendors and, of course, clients. We're incredibly grateful to work, volunteer and raise our families within this dynamic community. So here's wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful holiday weekend! #HappyThanksgiving #CountYourBlessings #EatDessertFirst

No exaggeration to say our zero energy model home generates interest near and afar -- in fact, this morning we welcomed a group from VELUX-Japan! Loving every opportunity to show off how we used VELUX skylights, sun tunnels and roof windows to build fresh air and natural daylight right into the design of this Active House-certified home. Check out this link http://addison-homes.com/home/home-building-tools/active-house-2/ to learn more about Active House and how this European standard can bring more light, comfort, health and efficiency into your new home. #ZeroEnergyReadyHome #ActiveHouse

Why skylights? Because all that natural daylight pouring through brings in energy efficiency and an abundance of health benefits. Our VELUX partner Cleve Henderson and a group of his colleagues from VELUX-Japan came to Trailside for a first-hand look at how we used skylights, sun tunnels and roof windows to build fresh air and natural daylight into the design of our Active House-certified zero energy model home. Check out this link http://addison-homes.com/home/home-building-tools/active-house-2/ to learn more about Active House and how this European standard can bring more light, comfort, health and efficiency into your new home. #ZeroEnergyReadyHome #ActiveHouse #Daylighting

We love talking high-performance -- with clients AND colleagues -- so it's cool to be featured on NAIMA/Insulation Institute's blog on using fiberglass insulation, along with other products and processes, to build Zero Energy Ready Homes. The ZERH home used as an example on the blog can be viewed here http://energy.gov/eere/buildings/doe-tour-zero-cobbler-lane-addison-homes on the DOE's Tour of Zero. #KnowInsulation #ZeroEnergyReadyHomes
