SACAP is a leading provider of academically rigorous and accredited qualifications in the field of Applied Psychology, specifically Counselling, Coaching and Social Science. SACAP offers a range of degrees, diplomas and certificates in these fields.
Introduction
Whereas most academic programmes in the field of Psychology are rich in theory, they lack the necessary focus on applied skills. SACAP closes the skills gap.

Our emphasis on skills, professionalism and specalisation, prepares you for a rewarding, professional career in Counselling or Coaching.

Our programmes adhere to the highest international standards. SACAP is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). All our qualifications are accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE) and listed by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

Our graduates are confident and skilled to positively impact the lives of others. Our Fieldwork component is placed in areas of high social impact.

Due to SACAP’s focus on the up-skilling of our students and on the application of these skills, we insist that all of our faculty have the necessary skills and experience to impart.

Effective Counselling requires a personal, sensitive approach. It is therefore appropriate that our learning environment allows for the creation of that intimacy.

Due to our emphasis on the application of knowledge and skills, we offer specialized training in a variety of areas of practice. Our range of over 100 fieldwork placement sites enables learners to choose specializations for their fieldwork.

Our facilitated style of tuition and our small interactive classes ensure an experiential learning process.

We empower people to empower others. We believe that your ability to effect positive external transformation is critically dependent on your personal growth.

SACAP has three intakes a year. Students may choose to study full-time or part-time, during the day or after-hours, on campus in Cape Town or Johannesburg or via distance education.
