It had occurred to me that MOOCs were not a viable business operation (e.g. coursera) but might be viable for universities themselves (e.g. edX) - particularly as it is possible to get production costs down once the hype is over (moocs4all.eu). So I am curious to know what strategy change has taken place at edX (as I'm not convinced a significant change is required).

Posting an invitation to Hangouts on Air speakers (as opposed to viewers) well before an event does NOT seem to be possible. Can anyone confirm this? This seems to be a serious flaw in the design when it comes to organising panel discussions. I presume that Google is well aware of this and has specific reasons for it being like this. Does anyone know why it is like this? Are there any suggestions on how best to organise a panel discussion on Hangouts on Air that can be viewed by the public?
