Autumn leaves are turning -- get your dish ready for winter - It's finally the first day of autumn, and it's no fun to think that snowy days are coming again. Still, it's the best time to check out all your outdoor technology before it's too cold to go outside. This year, pay close attention to insect damage and oxidation of your cables. THROWBACK THURSDAY: HDTV is coming - In Throwback Thursday, we're looking back at the articles we're most proud of from the first ten years of The Solid Signal Blog, as well as other old stuff we think is super-neato. DISH channel 540 will be carrying 4K on Saturdays all season with college football that you won't see in 4K anywhere else. They also say this is the beginning of something big, and that they'll be showing 4K baseball and other sports throughout the year. Test your TV before you install that DIRECTV 4K Client - Don't miss this important step. If you're adding a DIRECTV 4K Genie Mini Client (C61K) to your home system, make sure it's compatible with your TV before activating it. If there's a problem, it's a lot easier to return a client box if it hasn't been fully activated. We'd never recommend you do this but... - Don't you hate when you're in a sports bar and you can't get the game you want? Or if you're in a restaurant and the channel selection is positively obnoxious? You ask someone to change the channel, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. All the while you're stuck watching two teams you've never heard of play a sport you don't care about, or even worse watching some infomercial or opinion program. Let's get things straight here, when you're
