Proud day in the squirrel family:
Eagles are a rare breed, but local Boy Scouts are defying the odds: Troop 259 elevated five teens to the rank in a Court of Honor Saturday afternoon. Rarer still, two of the teenagers are young enough to reach additional milestones before they age-out.

And here all along, I've been saying we did need to know this.
Who needs algebra? That question muttered by many a frustrated student over the years has become a vigorous debate among American educators, sparked by a provocative new book that argues required algebra has become an unnecessary stumbling block that forces millions to drop out of high school or college.

This is really interesting for all you american human adults to listen to.

Speech Patterns Really Matter

We are primed to respond to how words sound (which is why we often make crass judgements based on accent). Winston Churchill (during WWII) is often referred to in conjunction to the way he used the English Language (http://goo.gl/kDQfuX), conscripting it in the fight against the Germans and, in the opposing side, Hitler also was hyper-aware of the hypnotic sound of his own voice and the way he used the German language (http://goo.gl/MnFkFu).

Now, I am not liking Donald Trump here to Hitler, nor am I liking him to Winston Churchill for that matter. I have used both these examples because they are outliers in the way they use language. And so, apparently is Trump.

Whether you like him or not, there is no taking away that he is a masterful salesman who knows how to use language. Check out the video below and also check out +David Brin's piece on this: http://goo.gl/CN55ic.
