Back to back SI covers for Jeremy Lin? Just like Jordan! (And Christie Brinkley, sorta.) Also, that's gonna be one hell of a jinx.

I'd like to believe it was a stifling Heats defense that led to the start of that jinx last night. But looking forward to seeing how he operates in the second half with a healthy, all-signed up, full squad.

From the Dept of Awesome Names comes this news about George W's niece and Ralph Lauren's son. "The bride will take the name 'Lauren Bush Lauren.'"

Paul Richard, who wrote WaPo's infamous Stones review in 1965, emailed the Reliable Sourcettes yesterday in re his piece.

“Mea culpa. I’d grown up in Chicago hearing Muddy Waters live, and Little Walter too, which made Mick appear a rip-off, and while I’d gone to judge his music all I heard was children screaming. . . What did I know? Many furious 12-year-olds wrote in at the time objecting (with success) to my first, as well as last, rock-and-roll review.”

(In other words, he got Jonasd? http://idolator.com/400349/jonas-brothers-fans-launch-intimidation-campaign-against-washington-post-critic )

The back of this guy's head kinda looks like mine. Just to allay your concerns: No, I wasn't eating some nasty nine-pound cheeseburger.
This is the story of a nine-pound cheeseburger, and the hard-working, burger-loving journalists who attempted to finish it.

"Pompatus of Love" (and wolf whistle) alert! "The Joker" topped the big Billboard chart 38 years ago today. The Joker - Steve Miller Band

(Sorry, not gonna post the Geto Boys song that uses the illegal sample. Or the crap-ass Twiztid cover. I woulda posted Homer Simpson singing it, but there's no good YouTube clip. Boo.)

Awesome... it's great to see that music video's haven't evolved. I seem to recall seeing this on "Hot Tracks" on a saturday night (pre-MTV days for all you kiddies...)

My colleague Tim Craig snapped a photo of the car Marion Barry drove to work today. And on Twitter,@joshgreenman made a funny about that photo: "A ditch set him up."

You will not read a more memorable correction today than this one:

Earlier versions of this article incorrectly said in a caption that the children were brushing their teeth in an upstairs bathroom in the family’s home. The bathroom shown is on the first floor. This version has been corrected.

More proof that you can't trust the liberal media to report the important stuff accurately.

I wrote a story about pervs at anime conventions. It was supposed to run Monday, until editors decided it needed to be fumigated. It was rescheduled for today, but held again, because the eds didn't want a pedobear anywhere near Taylor Swift. But it's online now, for your reading pleasure. (If you're into that sort of thing.)

One response on Twitter: "@animealmanac As a future middle-aged pervert taking pictures of young girls at cons, I am insulted by this article."

Paul Richard, writing in The Washington Post in 1965: "The Rolling Stones were in town yesterday but you didn’t miss anything unless you happen to be 12 years old and a girl. The Stones are from England and they play amplified guitars and harmonicas and drums. They are not the Beatles. The Beatles are smiley and nice and funny. The Stones are morbid and pathetic and very close to being ugly."

We regret the error.

.
At 68, Mick Jagger is a bona fide musical legend. In 1975, the Post didn’t think much of him.
