I am like you Jaclyn in how you were in your early stages trying to discover yourself. I to am researching in many aspects of life from philosophy to religion to atheism I don't know what I am or what I will belief in the end, Although I do see a similarity in religion and atheism in that they both belief with all there harts that they are right. This makes it hard for some one like me who is inexperience in life to make a choice, but the fact that I am looking at this situation from a third prospective and not from the eyes of a religious person or a atheist gives me an edge on the topic seeing the faults in both sides.... an I see many. The first and the most common problem that I see is that they both claim to have it harder than the other, in how atheist are open minded and for this are outlawed from society and condemned to misery if the wrong choice is made. This isolation and mistreatment from society drives an atheist to verbally abuse and physically harm a person who dose not agree with there decision and vice versa a religious person mistreating and harming person who does not agree with there decision. This is a vicious circle in which once you get on you cant get off. I am neither atheist or religious I am simply passing by.
