We were just there July 28th 2016. We came to this resort and got married. Was the most magical experience and the staff is awesome.. Great food and beautiful views.

Everything has been phenomenal except the shower. It takes 5 minutes just to get warm, and then takes just as long to cool down when you want to adjust it. Considering how often you are at the pools and beach, this is too large of an inconvenience to give 5 stars. Otherwise very happy with the amenities and service.

My mom & my 2 sisters & I had dinner at Sale de Pepe to celebrate my sisters' birthdays & watch the fireworks for 4th of July. The service was horrible. took almost 2 hours to get our meal and they had a set menu! Once we were finally served 3 out of 4 of us sent our entrées back because they were inedible. Worst experience ever.

Great location being right on the beach. Excellent service as somehow they know what you want to do next and they are there to serve you! Although one of the older resorts on the beach, the resort architecture and furnishings give you the feels you are staying with the rich and famous (which you actually are). We would go back in a heartbeat!

First night is OK. Would be better if they had an option for 2 queens rather than the king and pullout, as the pullout is very uncomfortable. Pool was OK. Lots of dragonflies. Hot tub was nice. Beach had umbrellas and chairs designated for the guests. Balcony was good. The place looks outdated but if you're just a couple or a single person it should be fine. You will be seeing edits to this post throughout my trip marked with "EDIT:" EDIT: Would not recommend bringing kids as the bathroom has no locks. The only lock on anything in the room (besides the from door) is the safe. You can say the balcony has a lock but I have yet to see it working. Safe is a good size, was able to fit a whole computer bag and a laptop (15 inch) in it with other things (battery pack, book, chargers). Bathroom is in the bedroom and the doors to the not-lockable bathroom have a decent sized gap between them, so everyone in your room will hear a shower or the toilet. The room separate from the living room/kitchen also doesn't have a lock. I can't stress enough how this place doesn't have locks on anything. I came here from a Marriott in Sanibel because I wanted to enjoy the beach. The beach is great but the rooms should be upgraded. Another pet peeve if mine is the cabinets that reach to the ceiling have a part that can't be opened (see picture).

Large clean rooms. Excellent service from staff, especially bellhop/valet Tom. Good value for the area. Room furniture needs updating, which I read is coming. 5 stars when they do.

Staff super nice & helpful 5 star. Room seemed old & run down 2 star. View from room on 9th floor 3 star. Beach was very nice 5 star. Sale e pepe nice environment but I felt like I was eating art work & the food was just ok to me 3 star. Beach bar was over priced 3 draft beers, 2 fish tacos, 2 mixed drinks & a turkey burger cost over a $100.00. Closes at 8 or sooner if it rains 1 star. Bar staff super cool & knowledgeable 5 star. If you come with your kids or you are super old this is your spot no night life at all 1 star. The locals call it Mark up Island Florida which I thought was funny. Jet sky tour was awesome 5 star. Sail boat tour was awesome 5 star. Building cleanliness 5 star. Guys on the beach seating you 5 star. Came the beginning of June days were nice but it rained every night. Off resort restaurant choices slim but better food & prices then the artsy fartsy sale e pepe. I can say I've been to Marco Island & probably won't be back.

I went to visit family for a few hours and I was very impressed with the quality of the rooms, buildings, and facilities. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
